The Job WarnerMedia seeks a Virtual HBOMax Technical Program Manager Intern for the Direct to Consumer department.

As a Technical Program Manager Intern, you will work with creative development teams and help drive ambiguous product requirements into a well thought out design. You will experience working cross-functionally with Product Management, Experience Design, Quality Assurance, Engineering, and Release Management to deliver features that provide value to HBO Max customers. You will have the opportunity to work with other Technical Program Managers to learn about feature definition and breakdown, execution planning, tracking, and communicating with teams & leaders.To this end, you must be passionate about developing strong negotiation and cross-functional communication skills.

The Daily

• Gather requirements and elaboration (starting from just a problem statement), including acceptance criteria
• Translate business requirements to technical requirements that are ready for consumption by a cross functional team
• Participate in creating a tactical roadmap development for your assigned technology/subject-matter domain
• Ensuring features are aligned to KPIs and/or contain quality indicators
• Participate in release readiness planning
• Participate in the team’s backlog refinement
• Participate in setting goals with clear expectations and prioritizing activities.

The Essentials

• Familiarity with development methodologies including waterfall and agile.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with technical and non-technical staff.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office or G-suite productivity software
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including negotiation and problem resolution in a cross-functional team.
• Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
• Passion and curiosity for technology

Internship Program

• Students must be currently enrolled in a college degree program for full duration of the internship.
• Fully remote/virtual experience; company owned laptop provided for the duration of the internship program.
• Salary based on office location; relocation is not provided.
• This position is targeted toward upperclassmen and graduate students.
