Commercial Banking provides financial solutions to businesses with annual sales generally in excess of $5 million. Our business lines are Wells Fargo Commercial Capital, Middle Market Banking, and Treasury Management & Payment Solutions.

Treasury Management & Payment Solutions
o Provides cash management services and digital channel capabilities for customers of Commercial Banking and Corporate & Investment Banking
o Also serves some Consumer and Small Business Banking and Wealth and Investment Management customers, and Auto Dealer Finance partner relationships in Consumer Lending

This position will have a concentrated focus on developing Commercial Card program optimization strategies, both from the customer and supplier point of view. Candidate will partner with the card networks on designing benchmarking and optimization tools for customers and packaging them to leverage in partnership with the Payables Consulting & Account Management teams. This role will also be responsible for launching negotiated interchange and other retention strategies for suppliers leveraging the commercial card virtual account solutions. This leader will drive supplier strategies and product enhancements for the Supplier Analysis & Onboarding (SAO) product, a key driver for virtual card account growth in the Commercial Card portfolio. Additionally, they will engage in key Commercial Card industry forums.

Responsible for overall product mgmt and strategic focus for the most technical/complex/diverse Treasury Mgmt, Trade, and/or Payment products and services. Applies market and/or functional expertise to develop and manage the most complex product solutions and/or channels that create a synergy of cost-efficiency, functionality and creativity to meet the needs and requirements of assigned markets and customer segments. Performs product analyses across applicable markets, conducting market research and multi-market competitive analysis. Reviews and develops new products and/or product lines, and is responsible for product life-cycle mgmt (e.g., create business plans, develop business requirements, direct product design and implementation, recommend product enhancements, support sales and marketing, and ongoing product support). Consults with senior management on strategic direction and the marketing implications of policies and activities. Works with vendors and 3rd parties related to product implementation and enhancements. Product mgmt may require consideration of global market dynamics, trends, regulatory impact, and risk mgmt. Provides leadership to project teams; identifies project goals, objectives, deliverables, constraints and issues; monitors completion of tasks to ensure that project goals are achieved. May mentor or guide less-experienced staff.

Salary range is determined by the location of the job.

The salary range displayed below is based on a Full-time 40 hour a week schedule:

CA-SF-Financial District: Min: $123,200 Mid: $176,000 Max: $228,800
NC-Charlotte: Min: $112,000 Mid: $160,000 Max: $208,000
MN-Minneapolis: Min: $112,000 Mid: $160,000 Max: $208,000

May be considered for a discretionary bonus

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in product management, strategic planning or a combination of both, with one or a combination of the following: treasury, trade or payments products

  • A BS/BA degree or higher
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to take initiative, identify opportunities and implement change
  • Strong communication skills and ability to articulate complex material to a diverse audience
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Ability to interact with integrity and a high level of professionalism with all levels of customers, team members and management


Other Desired Qualifications
  • Prior experience in commercial card product or related position
  • Strategic thinking, innovative, and excellent communication skills
  • 3-5 years of product development and/or product strategy experience
  • 10 years of transaction banking and/or treasury management experience

Job Expectations

  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time
