BlackRock is seeking an individual for the Reporting & Distribution Services group to support the Business in providing top notch services to our clients. In addition to internal clients (ICB), Reporting & Distribution Services (RDS) also provides services to external clients, consultants and custodians. Reporting & Distribution Services (RDS) is accountable for all aspects of clients’ reporting experience, including the provision of market leading client reporting and effective client query management.

We are looking for an individual to provide support in an efficient, attentive, and proactive manner. The ideal candidate is a seasoned professional who has strong experience supporting an account management team with global responsibilities in a fast-paced global firm. Experience and interest in the financial services industry is preferable. The candidate should be a great teammate, extremely motivated, resourceful, organized, communicative, and able to use the manager's time by completing tasks independently with strong attention to detail. The position is based in Toronto.

Team Overview

The Reporting & Distribution Services (RDS) team located in Toronto, currently oversees reporting and distribution for all institutional Canadian clients. In addition, the group is responsible for the production of standard as well as high touch, specialized reports for a broad array of Canadian and non Canadian clientele. The Toronto team is part of a larger Global Reporting & Distribution Services organization and is actively involved in global initiatives.

RDS is accountable for all aspects of clients’ reporting experience, including the provision of market leading client reporting and effective client query management. The group works with internal clients, as well as providing services to external clients, consultants and custodians. The current staff consists of five Associates and a Manager. Each member is responsible for maintaining a high standard of client deliverables, client servicing and support of the global RDS organization. The environment is fast paced, with high volume of work, stringent deadlines, constant communication with client facing teams, and prompt turn-around on queries

Role Responsibility

Provide professional support on all levels and serve as a key resource to his/her manager as well as others in the firm.

  • Complex data management and reporting; creating and updating unique and targeted graphs, tables, charts and reports for clients and prospective clients using various software applications.
  • Manage own workload; determine appropriate priorities and provide timely and accurate distribution of standard and custom reports.
  • Understand flow of client and fund information and data between various groups and systems.
  • Review the work of peers; ensure accuracy and enforce compliance rules as applied to fund performance reporting.
  • Support and complete various efficiency and capacity-building initiatives, including automation/ standardization efforts, client research, and representing RDS in firm-wide projects.
  • Participate in cross training efforts on all RDS functions.
  • May train new reporting specialists in all basic functions of position requirements. Ensure complete knowledge transfer of all operational and compliance procedures.
  • Constantly evaluate systems, processes and procedures for inefficiencies, and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Liaise with other departments on the execution of strategic projects.
  • Maintain efficient filing and organization of correspondence, reports, research data and meeting materials.
  • Build strong relationships with partners.
