Could you be our next Corporate Accountant?

An exciting opportunity has become available to join to the Macca’s Finance team as Corporate Accountant.

The Corporate Accountant supports the management and reporting of the corporate P&L and balance sheet. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: GL account maintenance, month end close, account reconciliations, and reporting to stakeholders. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, efficiency, stakeholder management and a curious mindset

What can you expect on a day-to-day basis?

  • Effective resolution of queries from stakeholders within and external to finance
  • Balance sheet account management and reconciliation as well as analysis of income and expenditure for corporate functions.
  • Work alongside tax specialist to prepare tax return and quarterly reporting obligations.
  • Meet critical due dates and deadlines, especially during the month end process
  • Provide accurate, timely and expert reporting and financial statements to key stakeholders, management and statutory bodies.
  • Apply company policies and procedures and understand their relevance and importance to maintaining internal controls.
  • Other responsibilities will include bank reconciliations, chart of account management, G&A management and reporting, cash flow and financial risk management, intercompany transactions and lease accounting.

Your keys to success:

This role requires a high level of attention to detail, efficiency and strong communication skills. Regular reporting must be conducted with accuracy, quality and timeliness whilst adhering to strict SOX compliance requirements.

  • Completed Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting
  • Demonstrated 2 years prior experience in a similar role
  • McDonald’s restaurant experience
  • Process improvement experience
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Demonstrated analytic skills and ability to problem solve
  • Flexible and adaptive to change
  • Knowledgeable in reconciliations
  • Strong time management and prioritisation skills
  • Ability to engage with others and build effective relationships
