The Consumer Lending team partners with other businesses across Wells Fargo to create and deliver transformational experiences that help customers gain access to credit. The vision for the Consumer Lending business is to leverage technology and data to make it simple for customers to easily access credit when and where they need it. Consumer Lending serves customers across the country through our distribution network of more than 5,300 retail banking branches and Home Lending offices, as well as online and digital channels.

The Social Media Manager will be a mission critical member of the Digital Account Acquisition Team. This role is responsible for leading social media content strategy for the Merchant Services business and partnering with the Social Media Marketing Center of Excellence to position content across all key social media platforms including Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, Pintrest and more. We are in need of a social media rock star that can help build a comprehensive paid and in-feed content strategy that will engage our audiences and drive action. The Social Media Manager will work with other small business social leads (across the Small Business Segment team, Deposits and Credit Card), as well as our Social Media Marketing Center of Excellence, to build and execute our social media plan.

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Building out and executing annual paid and in-feed social media content strategies for Merchant Services across all key social media platforms, including socializing plans with senior leadership and other critical social media teams to gain buy-in
• Working with Merchant Services content leader to create a roadmap that allows us to build an ongoing stream of compelling social media posts to engage small businesses and entice them to take action
• Leading the creative development process of social media content/posts with internal teams and external agency partners and measuring results to ensure content maximizes engagement and delivers on KPIs
• Maintaining partnership with the Social Media Marketing Center of Excellence to stay abreast of critical trends and insights across all social media platforms and sharing these perspectives across Marketing and senior leadership teams
• Creating detailed reporting for stakeholders and senior leaders to inform them of program and content effectiveness. This will include analyzing data, monitoring performance, and providing paid and in-feed targeting and content optimization recommendations
• Serving as subject matter expert on social media best practices, process, and policy within the Merchant Services team
• Collaborating with Marketing Center of Excellence teams and business partners to ensure social marketing campaigns and initiatives are executed in accordance with campaign objectives and align with brand and corporate technology standards
• Develop content for our public site shopping pages, as needed


Required Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: marketing, digital marketing, digital platforms (i.e mobile or social media) demonstrated through work or military experience

• Solid knowledge base across digital acquisition marketing channels and tools

• Demonstrated experience and success in Business-to-Business marketing
• Social media marketing experience within financial services industry, or other highly regulated industry or agency
• Previous experience developing or managing online communications strategies in financial services or regulated industries
• Experience using social media for business purposes (Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, LinkedIn, and Twitter)
• Experience with paid social media content execution including targeting development and content positioning options across social platforms.
• Ability to translate business objectives and strategies into social media content that can not only achieve these goals, but also build functional awareness of the Merchant Services value proposition among key audiences
• An ability to focus in on the most salient data, and effectively share information with senior-level stakeholders


Job Expectations

  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time
