Job Description

At the Bosch Power Tools division of Bosch we are currently looking for an outstanding user research talent that will help us discover and translate user needs into fascinating innovations which will improve the quality of tradesmen’s work and life around the world.

You will be part of the User Experience Department of Bosch Power Tools in Shanghai (home to Design & User Research) the headquarter for all emerging markets. Though you will work internationally for all of our regions – the focus of this role is our Eastern European market. In this role you will:

  • Perform initial explorative qualitative research to quantitative validation and testing always in close collaboration with business teams
  • This will include:
    • Drafting research proposals based on research objective
    • Coordinating, conducting and monitoring recruitment activities to ensure best fit of study respondents
    • Moderating in depth interviews or analyze large data sets
    • Write clear, insightful, actionable reports which showcase what we are learning about our users
    • travelling in China
    • a fair amount of travelling to Eastern Europe (once the global pandemic admits it)
  • Lead user related U&As such target group segmentation, user journey analysis, path to purchase ...
  • Support the brand management team in user centric communication development and brand positioning activities
  • Ensure implementation of insights by collaborating closely with marketing, designers, product manager, and engineers
  • Drive research projects collaborating with internal and external stakeholders across teams and business units ensuring common alignment and project goals are met in a complex organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor/ Master’s degree in Marketing, Market Research, Advertising, MBA, Business analysis or related subject
  • Hands-on marketing researcher with 3-5 years’ experience with a mix of quantitative and qualitative consumer research (preferably client side)
  • Strong project management and negotiation skill, with experience leading studies through each project stage
  • Deep experience with primary research:
    • Draft research designs and set-up RFQs for research agencies
    • Writing questionnaires and discussion guides
    • Setting up sampling plans, testing programmed online surveys
    • Moderation of interviews/focus groups
    • Monitoring studies during quantitative fieldwork
    • Analysis and synthesis of qualitative research findings
    • Write or rewrite reports
    • Presentation skills
  • Strong communication skills (able to translate research results into company requirements)
  • Open and keen to develop new methodologies and experimental study designs
  • Proven track record of managing international research projects
  • Ability to manage different stakeholders in a dynamic setting with conflicting interests at different levels
  • Knowledge in statistical analysis and tools (SPSS, Excel, PowerBI, etc.)
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in both English
  • Bonus: Any experience with Eastern European cultural background is a plus
