Commercial Banking provides financial solutions to businesses with annual sales generally in excess of $5 million. Our business lines are Wells Fargo Commercial Capital, Middle Market Banking, and Treasury Management & Payment Solutions.

This position is part of Commercial Capital - Corporate Trust Services Operations (CTSO) - Document Custody within Wells Fargo Commercial Capital business group. We provide document review, certification, and safekeeping services for clients which include investment banks and government agencies. This position will perform operational tasks to ensure the Release Operations team completes work timely and accurately.

Wells Fargo recently announced their intent to sell the Corporate Trust Services (CTS) business to Computershare, a global specialized financial services company. The sale was announced in late March 2021 and is expected to close in the second half of 2021. We are continuing to recruit for all open positions supporting CTS, but want to ensure you are aware that this position, along with around 2000 others, will transfer to Computershare when the sale closes. The Custody Operations Specialist 2 is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

  • Follow specific guidelines to appropriately batch and log customer requests, and submit to appropriate vaults
  • Accurately verify loan information to ensure correct files are being released to the customer
  • Perform release transaction on system, prepare files for shipment, and perform validation of shipments
  • Perform other assigned tasks; reject release requests, return files, reporting, and research
  • Identify discrepancies and work with appropriate resources to resolve quickly
  • Produce acceptable volume to meet or exceed production and quality standards in all assigned tasks
  • Resourceful and adaptable while utilizing tools and training to complete tasks
  • Accountable for own personal growth and development opportunities for continuous growth
  • Comply with information security and records management policies
  • Proficient in use of systems, processes and comply with the established procedures to perform job functions
  • Adhere to audit requirements (contractual, FNMA, GNMA, and Freddie)
  • Enter accurate and complete data into tools (Time Tracker, Quality and Production Tracker)

Hours for this position are 8:30am - 5pm Monday - Friday

They are accountable for execution of all applicable risk programs (Credit, Market, Financial Crimes, Operational, Regulatory Compliance), which includes effectively following and adhering to applicable Wells Fargo policies and procedures, appropriately fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, timely and effective escalation and remediation of issues, and making sound risk decisions. There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit’s risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.


Required Qualifications

  • 18+ months of experience in one or a combination of the following: operations, customer interaction, production or general office environment demonstrated through work or military experience

  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to independently provide summary and recommendations on operational data
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills
  • Ability to navigate multiple computer systems, applications, and utilize search tools to find information
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of document custody
  • Knowledge and understanding of emBTRUST
  • Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines

Salary Information

The salary range displayed below is based on a Full-time 40 hour a week schedule.
MN-Minneapolis: Min: $33,300 Mid: $39,200 Max: $49,800
