Sales and Trade Terms Controller (m/f/d)
In our ambition to protect value with strong governance this position will play a critical role in providing Financial accounting, reporting & planning, Risk Management & Internal Control as well as Digital tools management. The position will deliver i) our periodic close of Gross to Net Sales, ii) Trade terms accounting (incl. accrual management) and iii) support, input, and provide leadership to the Unit’s volume to value planning. The position will also contribute to the expansion of digital tools with the unit and the region and contribute to global digitalization especially for Trade Promotion Managements tools.
Key Tasks:
- Validate customer data/contracts in the TPM tool and collaborate with Sales to make sure processes are delivered on-time (invoice approval, promotional deals approval) and recorded accurately in the system. Adapt processes independently based on development / maturity of the Unit’s Trade Fund Management System.
- Ensure, that the trade budgets are managed accurately and at the appropriate level of detail in the system and support SDL to ensure spending is in line with guidelines via regular budget reviews with the Sales Team (incl. Sales Leadership) and supporting the Unit’s Strategic Revenue and ROI Efforts.
- Oversee and Lead Trade Accrual Management, Governance and Communication
- Deliver period-end closing in Mars Tools, from GSV to NSV, incl. Accrual Management and communication to stakeholders in the Unit and MGS-F.
- Establish and drive digital tools/reporting and a value creation mindset within the local finance business partners
- Support the Unit’s Sales Finance Business Partners in Trade Budget generation, allocation and planning.
- Support Volume to Value Planning for the Unit
- Ownership of NQC analysis and supporting the Business Unit (Sales, Logistics and SDD) in driving corrective actions
Your Profile:
- University degree or equivalent in Business, preferably in Finance
- 3-5 years of diversified financial management experience, including among others business partnering, forecasting, planning and accounting.
- Demonstrated analytical capabilities
- Strong knowledge of accounting systems and digital solutions
- Comfortable working with senior management
- High level of initiative, assertiveness, and willingness to take responsibility
- Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
