This Retirement Plan Product Manager (PM1) is a retirement plan professional focused on product and risk management control. This individual in coordination with Retirement Plan Consulting leaders, will work with various stakeholders across the firm such as Service & Operations, Compliance, Risk and Legal to ensure that applicable policy & procedures are implemented and/or maintained and in identifying, researching and developing any new sales or product opportunities.

The ideal candidate has experience supporting the development and/or implementation of retirement plan sales strategy across several platforms, possesses strong written and verbal communication and doesn’t mind working in a high-volume, fast-paced environment supporting multiple retirement plan products.

Responsibilities include:
• Supporting employer retirement plan product solutions, sales ideas and strategies to help financial advisors retain and grow employer sponsored retirement plans primarily 401(k) but could include defined benefit, profit sharing, SEP, SIMPLE IRA and Non-Qualified Deferred Compensation plans based on assessment of competitive environment and new opportunities.
• Creating, implementing, and maintaining proper documentation of policy and procedures
• Assisting with SEP and SIMPLE IRA product oversight and plan documents
• Applying technical knowledge and understanding of qualified plans, SEP and SIMPLE IRAs to assess regulatory impacts
• Executing product changes including marketing material, internal resources in response to regulatory and market demands
• Assisting client facing employees with firm approved information to respond to Request for Proposal (RFP) inquires
• Act as subject matter expert with in-depth knowledge of retirement plan products across multiple platforms and assist in training and educating team members and financial advisors.


Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of product management experience, marketing experience, or a combination of both


Desired Qualifications

  • 2+ years of retirement or Individual Retirement Account (IRA) experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of defined benefit plans, non-qualified plans or 401(k) recordkeeping
  • Ability to review and interpret retirement plan documents
  • Experience reviewing and interpreting retirement plan documents
  • FINRA registration including Series 7 and 66 (or FINRA recognized equivalents)
  • Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) skills
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment
  • Ability to consult, build, and maintain solid working relationships in and outside of immediate department
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
  • Ability to work effectively, as well as independently, in a team environment
  • A BS/BA degree or higher


Other Desired Qualifications
  • Experience partnering with financial advisors and branch managers on retirement product solutions
  • Chartered Retirement Plans Specialist SM (CRPS®) designation or other approved retirement industry designations
  • experience working with financial advisors

Salary Information

The salary range displayed below is based on a Full-time 40 hour a week schedule.
MO-Saint Louis: Min: $54,000 Mid: $75,000 Max: $96,000
