The opportunity

As a result of continued growth within our Global Investment Data Management Team (GIDM), we currently have a vacancy for an Investment Data Analyst. Reporting to the Global Investment Data Manager, this role will be responsible for providing oversight of operational activities in ensuring a timely and accurate global data set is delivered to GIDM’s enterprise data clients.

The Investment Data Analyst will also serve as GIDM’s point of contact in managing client queries relating to investment data and partner with internal teams to ensure the integrity of investment and fund data being provisioned.

What you will do

• Facilitate and lead data management pipeline of work, managing competing priorities across multiple data sets in order to meet operational objectives.
• Provide expert data domain support to enterprise data clients and stakeholders to enhance fund oversight functions.
• Facilitate and lead oversight activities, ensuring accurate and timely investment data is delivered to enterprise clients. Where required, conducting root cause analysis and problem resolution of complex data issues.
• Provide direct client support to enhance business decisions, partnering with external data vendors and industry contacts to enable best in class data management practices.
• Proactively identify and drive process enhancements to gain efficiencies and improve service offering to clients.
• Demonstrates a strong knowledge of investment data maintain a broad understanding of the investment management landscape.
• Integrates new or existing technologies into workflows, while communicating updates to global team members.

What we are looking for

• Demonstrated experience within financial and investments industry with background in Data Management, Middle Office, Investment Operations, Portfolio Management
• Strong analytical ability, research-driven problem solving, and time / attention management skills required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, with proven ability to effectively communicate with external providers, internal business clients, and crew members at all levels.
• Demonstrated ability to function in a fast-paced, ambiguous working environment exercising excellent judgment skills with an ability to analyse issues quickly
• Ability to quickly become knowledgeable in current and future policies, practices, trends, and information affecting Data Management practices within the organisation

Specialisations that will make an impact

• Undergraduate degree (preferably in accounting, finance, economics, or related field)
• Strong knowledge of Financial Services, investment management company or global organisations would be highly regarded
• Working knowledge of Python and SQL a plus.
• Working knowledge of Business Intelligence software (Tableau, Power BI) a plus.
• Proficiency in Data Management practices and strong knowledge of data workflows would be well regarded
