DescriptionDESCRIPTION:
The Inventory Deployment Analyst develops and executes various analyses to support international store initiatives, inform demand forecasting and inventory deployment strategies, and influence business partners. Associate will strategically assess the business’ demand and inventory position across the VSL business with the intent of aligning financial and operational plans. The associate will act as a liaison to Domestic & International Merchandise Planning and Allocation (MP&A) team, Store Operations, Logistics and Technology partners. In addition, the analyst will champion approaches to unlock incremental opportunities at the store/size level within market geographies/stores. This position covers the entire product lifecycle: pre-season, in-season and post-season.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Establish best practices, process/system optimization, build talent across the team and collaborate to drive short/long term strategies impacting inventory flow
- Partner cross-functionally with MP&A, Merchants, Logistics, Flow Planning, Distribution Centers and Technology partners to ensure inventory planning goals and objectives are achieved
- Analyze and identify international distortions by Region around the world to determine best support deployment decisions
- Support international strategy and identify opportunities for growth in partnership with Merchants and Planning – Drive distortion through international deployments
- Review sales analysis by country, feedback from franchise partners & weekly merchandise reports to ensure best possible in region inventory
- Participate in floor set and strategy planning, inventory and demand forecasting alignment, and size selling analysis driving local merchandise distortions in Victoria’s Secret Lingerie (VSL)
- Act as a business owner and drive strategy and decision making to optimize sales and inventory productivity
- Analyze past performance to identify opportunities and create pro-active actions to improve inventory position and drive sales
- Support MP&A team by identifying areas of opportunity in the assortment and adapt future deployments to reflect new learnings and strategies
- Understand North America strategy and process and discern impact to International to understand risk/upside
QualificationsEXPERIENCE:
- 2-3 years of experience in inventory deployment and or demand forecasting.
- High level of technical proficiency using Microsoft Excel. Experience with Access and PowerPoint is a plus. Some level of proficiency with MSI (MicroStrategy), SAP, and JDA is helpful.
- Excellent statistical/quantitative analytical skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities
- Excellent communication, prioritization, and problem-solving skills
- High level of flexibility as process will continuously evolve
- Ability to multitask, while working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
- Ability to be a team player and to foster a commitment to teamwork among associates
EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
