The Consumer Lending team partners with other businesses across Wells Fargo to create and deliver transformational experiences that help customers gain access to credit. The vision for the Consumer Lending business is to leverage technology and data to make it simple for customers to easily access credit when and where they need it. Consumer Lending serves customers across the country through our distribution network of more than 5,300 retail banking branches and Home Lending offices, as well as online and digital channels.

The Deposit and Credit Bureau Management Office (DCBMO) is seeking an experienced Business Leader to support the Head of Deposit & Credit Bureau Management Office (DCMBO).

The successful candidate will possess strong organization, analytical and communication skills along with the thought leadership necessary to accomplish deliverables within aggressive timeframes. Specifically, this leader will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing key strategic programs including the development and coordination of executive-ready presentations and supporting analysis for executives and other key leaders as required by the Head of the DCBMO. This includes presentations for committees, governance forums, business and regulatory presentations including key data points from dashboards.

Additional responsibilities include: Town Halls, written communications, meeting and report preparation, briefings and presentations on strategic or business priorities, as requested.

  • Planning and execution of a variety of programs, services and initiatives that are larger in scope and complexity. Examples might include, but are not limited to: operational, executive management review coordination, process improvement and redesign, change management initiatives, ongoing oversight of a leadership, diversity, recognition or general program oversight
  • Creating and maintaining cross-departmental relationships to enable leadership success – a trusted advisor who can be called on to provide support that includes: Internal and external communications, Operational Support, Interacting with Executives under the Risk Management framework.
  • Providing leadership to other consultants and analysts in the integration/implementation of programs, services and initiatives with cross functional business partners, recognizing the significance of competing priorities and strategies, and adjusting as necessary
  • Ensuring connectivity to key stakeholders across the firm to influence outcomes and foster long term partnerships that are critical to organizational success.
  • Partnering with DCBMO Executive and Corporate Communications to develop an overall communication strategy for the DCBMO for both internal Employees, Executives and key Business Owners.
  • Collaborating with DCBMO Executive and Finance business partner to deliver consolidated view of financials & headcount, while assisting in budget planning processes and ad-hoc deliverables.
  • Partnering with Executives to enhance the DCBMO culture, including coordination of employee opinion survey activities and Team Member feedback, resulting in a highly motivated, engaged, integrated and diverse workforce
  • Providing oversight on DCBMO budget and finance activities, including the identification of risks.

Salary range is determined by location of the job.
The salary range displayed below is based on a Full-time 40 hour a week schedule:

DE-Wilmington: Min: $142,500 Mid: $203,500 Max: $264,600
IA-West Des Moines: Min: $129,500 Mid: $185,000 Max: $240,500
NC-Raleigh: Min: $129,500 Mid: $185,000 Max: $240,500
SC-Fort Mill: Min: $129,500 Mid: $185,000 Max: $240,500
CO – Denver: Min: $129,500 Mid: $185,000 Max: $240,500
NY-New York City: Min: $155,400 Mid: $222,000 Max: $288,600

May be considered for a discretionary bonus, Restricted Share Rights or other long-term incentive awards.


Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: business support, project management, implementation, business operations or strategic planning in financial services
  • 5+ years of leadership experience


Desired Qualifications

  • A BS/BA degree or higher in accounting, finance, or economics
  • Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment
  • Ability to work and influence successfully within a matrix environment and build effective business partnerships with all levels of team members
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to turn findings into executable plans to meet business objectives
  • Strong strategic and conceptual thinking skills
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator)
  • Ability to lead during times of ambiguity and change


Other Desired Qualifications
  • Familiarity with Regulations and Risk Management policies and the broader Risk Management Framework, preferably with multiple years of experience in risk management in the financial services industry
  • Knowledge and experience with consumer credit bureau reporting, dispute processing and associated laws (FCRA, FACTA)
  • Ability to create and manage dashboards, identifying the key data elements, analyzing data, and conducting trend analysis
  • Experience developing communications that support and align with busines objectives
  • Strong presentation skills, including creation of PowerPoint presentations and facilitating presentations (in person or via Zoom or conference calls)
  • Ability to plan, develop, and execute medium range and long-term strategic plans
  • Business and technical project management skills and experience
  • Experience with mid to large-scale process transformation initiatives

Job Expectations

  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time
