Job Description

Class Start Date: June 21st

Shift Requirements: 11:30 a.m. - 8:00 p.m., 1:30pm - 10:00pm, 3:30 p.m. - 12:00 a.m. Monday - Friday with weekends

Starting Wage: $17.25 per hour, with shift & weekend differential

This is a temporary position with the opportunity to promote to a full time role!

What You’ll Do

• Handle both inbound and outbound telephone calls for acquisitions and verification.

How You’ll Do It

• Review and satisfy services related to Patriot Act requirements.
• Take telephone credit applications.
• Review other applications in accordance with company policies and procedures—Students, Frozen Credit File, Adverse Action calls, etc.

Qualifications You’ll Need

The Basics

• Strong verbal communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to multi-task, as needed, to get the job done

Bonus Points If You Have

• High school diploma or GED
• 1+ years of experience in credit call center
• A quiet workspace
• Internet service with a minimum speed of 5mbps
• Personal smartphone or a tablet

Keeping our employees safe is a key focus at Discover. This position is based in our New Castle, Delaware call center. Based on the evolving situation with Covid-19, we may ask you to be onsite on day 1 for equipment pickup and New Hire Orientation. From there your training and/or work will be remote until the situation with Covid-19 allows us to move back into our building.

*At Discover’s discretion this position may be work from home and adjusted back to “in office” at any time.
