As a Senior Staff Electro-Optical Systems Engineer, you will:
• Lead system architecture and CONOPS, perform system level design and decomposition into requirements
• Perform system analysis and interface definition and management/ execution
• Participate in studies and system trades for enhanced capabilities
• Perform systems/hardware integration, test planning and execution
• Lead and coordinate design reviews and technical product reviews
• Lead failure investigations and anomaly resolution boards
• Develop, manage, and verify Electronics products and OPCoE Electronics
• Perform system and subsystem level CONOPS, analyses, and interface definitions.
You would typically have a Bachelors degree and 14-20 years of professional experience, a Masters and 12-18 years, or a PhD and 9-15 years.

Basic Qualifications:
• Knowledge of one or more systems integration functions including:
(1) system trade studies and/or system modeling
(2) requirements and interface development
(3) system integration, test and/or verification
(4) test planning and execution with an understanding of all the interdependencies
• Knowledge of the systems engineering process including trade studies, design reviews and system verification
• US citizen and the ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Top Secret/SCI security clearance
Desired Skills:
• 14+ years with spacecraft architecture design, development, integration, test, with knowledge of space, missile and launch systems at the component through system level
• System design and test experience with one or more subsystems or disciplines outside of Systems Engineering (e.g., Electrical, Mechanical, Propulsion, Optics, Software, etc.)
• Ability to absorb extensive technical detail and logically formulate solutions for execution on an inflexible schedule, often requiring integration of conflicting and, at times, incomplete data
• Experience ensuring the physical and functional compatibility of hardware/software products throughout the full lifecycle of the program
• Ability to interact with hardware and software developers to ensure mission requirements are satisfied
• Strong presentation skills and capable of briefing audiences of varying technical knowledge
• Ability to operate in a dynamic environment and take on numerous roles as part of the daily program operations
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong social skills, and ability to build consensus among peers while building solid relationships with team members
• Demonstrated behaviors of a systems thinker with the ability to select and apply appropriate systems thinking skills to solve problems and implement constructive change
• Experience with Optical Payload Electronics boxes
• Experience as a CPE or has worked with electronics box development and delivery
• Active TS/SCI or DOE Q
