Job Description

The DevOps Automation Cloud Engineer is an accomplished software engineer who specializes in automating repeatable processes, building resilient application stacks , automating health checks, and deployment of systems to remove risk from software releases. This is a green-field opportunity to define requirements and build solutions to improve a diverse array of applications. We are going to focus on building automated observability stacks, establishing modular frameworks for repeatable processes and incorporate automated workflows for self healing and self service tasks

Duties & Responsibilities

· Design, build, maintain and support production and non-production environments within AWS, ensuring secure and reliable applications.

· Monitor and improve the availability, throughput, and latency of web applications and their back-end components, including on prem databases and applications.

· Responsible for CI/CD using cloud and on prem infrastructure

· Develop and document processes to support ongoing development, change control, and production maintenance

· Provide support for application deployments

· Enable site performance monitoring and work with the application team on issue identification

· Build effective monitoring, alerts, and metrics for production services and applications.

· Work with application team to provide support for the automation of environments.

· Review system requirements and application dependencies and determine monitoring configuration needed

· Build system availability and application response time reports used for measuring service levels

Skills & Specifications

Experience in design and deployment of secure, dynamically scalable, highly available, fault-tolerant, and reliable applications on AWS.

· Knowledge of Application Performance Monitoring tools or related open source tools.

· Knowledge on how multiple monitoring tools integrate with each other.

· Basic understanding of AI and ML

· Understand CMDB services and dependency mapping.

· Experience in designing and development of automated deployment and scaling processes

· Experience on configuration management and deployment tools

· Experience in supporting the development of Java applications (or .net applications)

· Experience in any database tool (querying, debugging etc)
