Acorns is seeking a licensed Series 24 Securities Principal to join the Investment Operations team in order to build and maintain customers’ trust in Acorns as a revolutionary investing service. Our Investments Operations team reviews and executes the full life cycle of every investment transaction and manages all of the securities-related customer inquiries. Through deep operational insight and big picture thinking, you’ll improve our customer’s experience through timely resolutions, surfacing issues as they arise, and improving processes.

This role has the option to be remote or based in our Irvine office. You are not expected to have experience with all listed requirements. If you feel passionately about Acorns' mission, vision and values, please apply.

Within 1 month, you will:

  • Introduce yourself and become integrated with the Invest Operations team
  • Develop relationships with the Compliance, Invest Products and Finop teams
  • Manage securities-related customer inquiries and meet Service Level Agreement criteria
  • Have recurring 1 on 1’s with management and meet regularly with the Invest Operations team to provide onboarding feedback and understand team goals

Within 3 months, you will:

  • Execute daily trade orders and trade allocation review
  • Review and approve deposits, withdrawals, and customer accounts
  • Create and reinvest dividends
  • Meet daily workflow service level agreements consistently
  • Recognize, prevent and communicate fraud issues effectively
  • Assist with incoming and outgoing rollovers and transfers
  • Participate in weekly team meetings to gain insight on department updates and provide feedback on ways to improve
  • Learn basic data queries

Within 6 months, you will:

  • Act as subject matter expert on all of Invest Operations, including providing training and guidance to the Customer Support, Compliance, Engineering, and Product teams for existing and new products as needed
  • Be able to design and implement processes and procedures to continue to make the department more efficient and scalable while maintaining compliance
  • Assist in the identification and development of new products and the infrastructure, policies and services to meet those needs
  • Be able to create exception reports and provide data insights with SQL knowledge
  • Be able to solve for trading and allocation errors as they arise
  • Have a deep understanding of the investment money movement life cycle

What you will bring to Acorns:

  • BA/BS degree required
  • FINRA SIE license required
  • FINRA Series 7, 66, 24 license required
  • 0-2 years of account management/customer service experience
  • A passion for Acorns to and the products we are building for customers
  • Ability to consistently execute on tasks every day with excellent attention to detail
  • Masterful problem-solving skills identifying customer needs and providing thoughtful solutions
  • Exceptional awareness with the ability to communicate and escalate issues
  • High degree of professionalism and poise
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
