Description:Lockheed Martin's Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) business is seeking a Signal Processing / Algorithms Engineer to join our Systems Engineering organization sunny Orlando, FL.
RF Algorithm Development (Channelization, Detection and Estimation, Adaptive Signal Processing, Spectral Estimation / Analysis, Pulse Compression, SAR/ISAR) will be a major focus of this role on a day-to-day basis. Signal processing performance analysis and RF system performance analysis and tradeoffs will also be a major focus.
You will have the opportunity to develop signal processing algorithms for complex RF sensors (passive and active sensors). This mission critical work will include Sensor algorithm design, integration, and coordinating sensor algorithm test activities with functional and Program Management.
You will be responsible for algorithm requirements and related activities and support trade studies, presentations, proposals and related activities.

The Locale: Orlando is a city in the Central Florida area. This region is a great place to live and to raise a family. Central Florida offers lots of attractive residential housing options. The Greater Orlando metropolitan area is the sixth largest metro area in the southeastern United States. The climate here is warm and sunny all year long for the most part. Orlando is home to Walt Disney World, Universal Studios Florida, and SeaWorld. Orlando is also home to the second largest University in the US, the University of Central Florida (UCF). Where can you get to from Orlando? Orlando is about an hour's drive from Cocoa Beach and the 'Space Coast' to include NASA and the Kennedy Space Center. Tampa is about 1.5 hours from Orlando. West Palm Beach is about 2.5 hours to the south and Jacksonville is about 2 hours to the northeast. Atlanta, GA is 6 hours to the northwest.
Basic Qualifications:
Must be a U.S. Citizen with an ability to obtain DoD Interim Secret clearance to start.
Robust experience with signal processing techniques and performance analysis required.
Must have Algorithm development skills.
Experience with MATLAB, Python or C++ required.
A minimum of Bachelors degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related technical field.
Desired Skills:
The ability to verify compliance with customer requirements via simulation, and analysis of test data.
The ability to work effectively in a highly collaborative team environment.
The ability to collaborate effectively with embedded software engineers to ensure algorithms are appropriately implemented and verified.
Formal digital signal processing training or equivalent professional experience or a background in mathematics desired.
Experience in I&Q Data processing in RF sensors (Passive & Active) is strongly desired.
Prior experience optimizing algorithms to meet memory and throughput capabilities of the processing hardware.
Prior experience with RCS analysis would be a plus.
Demonstrate strong math skills used in simulation development experience.
Demonstrate experience working with simulations using collected data and synthetic data.
In addition to signal processing, experience with machine learning and/or artificial intelligence considered a plus.
Strong software skills relating to signal processing considered a plus.
