Job Description

The Global Commercial Services organization is looking for an individual to join the US SME Prospect Partner Marketing team to help lead our Amazon Co-Brand Prospect Marketing Strategy. The Partner Marketing team is responsible for creating and executing strategies responsible for acquiring attractive small and middle market commercial customers and for creating long term strategies that drive engagement and loyalty. This role will focus on creating marketing strategies that leverage the joint value proposition of American Express and Amazon to convert commercial prospects on Amazon Business credit cards through partner and proprietary channels (i.e. prop & partner site, email, affiliate, display media). This portfolio is relatively new (<2 years) compared to other co-brand partnerships.

As Manager/Senior Manager leading this relationship you will work directly with Amazon’s Product Management and Marketing teams and our internal Product, Channel Marketing, Customer Marketing, Analytics, Risk, Technology and Finance teams to efficiently and effectively identify high value SBOs and seamlessly integrate compelling, multi-channel marketing strategies into both Partner experiences and our own Proprietary experiences, to ultimately convert them on to our products.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing a digital, multi- channel acquisition experience. They will use data and analytics (from AXP and the Partner) to inform testing strategies, targeting strategies, messaging and creative development, placement strategy and offer effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and deliver insight-based, comprehensive multi-channel Amazon co-brand card marketing acquisition plans
  • Collaborate with Partner and internal cross functional teams to identify, evaluate and prioritize ongoing growth opportunities
  • Lead external agencies to develop compelling, innovative, on-strategy prospect experiences
  • Lead annual and monthly forecasting in collaboration with our Amazon and our internal partners
  • Derive and share key insights and results with stakeholders across GCS and continuously tweak marketing plan based on insights and key drivers of results
  • Internal and external partner management to deliver marketing strategies, campaigns, and commitments on time, on budget while guiding flawless execution
Minimum Qualifications
  • Seasoned, strategic digital marketer with demonstrated ability to develop end to end marketing strategies, build high impact test and learn plans, and flawlessly lead execution of complex marketing initiatives
  • Strategic thought leadership with ability to step back and think about the long-term aspirations while also managing short term initiatives
  • Strong analytical skills: ability to extract insights and leverage data to make informed decisions
  • Strong focus on driving profitable results; demonstrated ability to act quickly and confidently on deliverables
  • Strong project manager: ability to balance multiple priorities with close attention to detail
  • Excellent relationship management and influence skills
  • Energized by a fast paced, complex environment
  • Strong verbal and communication skills
  • Knowledge of the small business segment and/ or understanding of online retail a strong plus
  • Partner Management and/or Marketing Acquisition experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree required
