Eaton’s new team, Building as a Grid, has an exciting and rewarding position of a

Team Engineering manager

This function includes developing and testing innovative electric vehicle charging infrastructure in collaboration with other teams in Europe and identifying market studies and develop business cases. The individual will also identify internal and external funding resource, support discussions with national labs and university leaders to be on top of the key technologies identified.

A key role will be to engage his team collaboration and delivery on various technologies such as power converters, electrical distribution, data connectivity or energy storage, whith the other teams in charge of those technologies for the Build as a Grid Business. establish customer relationships, present ideas and projects to Eaton business leaders EMEA leadership.

Ability to communicate complicated technologies in a clear and concise way to a variety of different audiences (business leaders, technical colleagues and lay people).

A good blend of technical knowledge and business acumen is required to be successful in this position. The successful candidate will be reporting to the EEIC Site leader.

Location: Roztoky, Prague, Czech Republic

Your key responsibilities:

• Hires the team members, manages direct reports, conducts performance reviews, administers merit plan, and sets goals and development plans (total team size = 30).
• Provides coaching, feedback and guidance for direct reports, including reward and recognition.
• Manages Resources, understands resource planning and develop resource models for projects fur multiple business groups.
• Ensures proper and timely planning, introduction and monitoring of development processes in compliance with the targets defined in the Specification of the particular cost objective (content and timing of product testing agreement with the relevant test, coordination with the larger Building as a Grid engineering team EMS and plants)
• Leads Project: identify project risk, develop risk mitigation plans and then implement plans. Must be a self-starter that can independently drive projects forward to success.
• Identifies external funding opportunities and drives proposal writing together with Eaton EMEA businesses.
• Enforces adherence to the prescribed for the development/construction of new electronics components for statutory regulations and standards.
• Ensures compliance with regulations and law in the field of occupational safety and environmental protection and compliance with the Eaton quality standards.
• Performs an efficient technical support of the distribution in the resolution of quality problems with the customers.
• Ensures development and execution of a competitive product range, including the definition, in cooperation with Product Management.

Your Profile:

• MSc. In Electrical Engineering
• 10 years of related management and engineering experience ( power electronics or firmware or electrical distribution - circuit breakers)
• People management
• Ability to demonstrate problem solving using logic and methods to solve difficult problems with effective solutions.
• Experience in Project Management.
• Self-motivated and goal oriented individual.
• Collaborative orientation, the ability to succeed in a highly team oriented, global, and diverse environment.
• Desire for innovation, new product development, program management
• Excellent English communication and presentation skills (oral and written)
