What you’ll do as a Sneak Peek Week Participant:

Are you bright, math-savvy, competitive, and want to see what working at a trading firm is like? Perhaps you have previous trading experience and want to put your trading knowledge to the test before heading back to school? Akuna Capital is excited to offer a week-long seminar showcasing derivatives trading in our Chicago headquarters. This opportunity is open to undergraduate and graduate students who are interested in our industry and who want an inside look at life as a trader at Akuna before heading back to school.

During our Sneak Peek Week from August 16^th – 20^th, you will be introduced to options theory and spend time playing the same trading games we use to teach our new hires. You will be able to shadow traders and learn more about our unique approach to successfully acting as global liquidity provider and market maker. Akuna’s dedicated Traders will sit alongside you, teaching risk management, game theory, and optimal decision making.

In addition, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable insight from our team and to meet other like-minded students and employees. We will offer lectures from Akuna’s leaders and fun events dedicated to showcasing our growing firm and the beauty of summer time in Chicago.

Qualities that make great candidates:

• Pursuing a BS/MS/ PhD in Engineering, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Actuarial Science or a related/equivalent field
• Strong math aptitude, numerical and quantitative analysis skills
• Entrepreneurial self-starter ready to work in a fast paced, competitive, team environment
• Demonstrable experience in trading and financial markets preferred
• Graduating between September 2021 - August 2023
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required on the first day of employment including F-1 students using OPT, CPT, TN, or STEM

• Submit your resume and a one-page/500 words max motivation letter describing your interest in trading and in Akuna Capital by August 2^nd, 2021
• Please include what else you may be up to this summer including internships, summer courses, part-time jobs, etc.
• Successful applicants will be required to complete a math assessment followed by a web interview with a Trader at Akuna
• A limited number of candidates will be invited to join our week-long program and have the opportunity to receive a return full-time or internship offer at the end
• Travel and accommodations will be arranged by Akuna Capital
