Who You'll Work With
You’ll be joining as Operations Specialist in McKinsey’s ClienTech team, based in North America (ideally Waltham or Chicago). You will be an integral part of the ClienTech operations team. You will work closely with our broader technology leadership and a diverse set of McKinsey stakeholders to run and scale core central operations. You will work closely with ClienTech’s lead of vendor management, internal functions and external suppliers and lead the contract review process to mitigate the Firm’s risk in vendor arrangements.McKinsey ClienTech fosters innovation driven by technology, analytics, design thinking, mobile and social by developing new products and services and integrating them into our client work. You will work with various software engineers, product managers, systems engineers, designers, infrastructure and security professionals as well as asset technical services. You will be part of a core function that provides central engineering services for our solutions including product development, technology strategy and cloud based hosting.What You'll Do
You will leverage your analytical and operational background to improve existing, and develop new, scalable processes to drive better, faster, clearer decision making. In this role, you will have a dual responsibility of providing dedicated practice operations support to a specific ClienTech function (e.g. platform, tech ops, launch, build, data) as well as owning and driving a few of the cross functional processes for all of ClientTech (e.g. vendor management, financials, communications, people operations such as recruiting, onboarding, tracking and reporting of KPIs).As part of practice support, you will provide strategic planning and operations including helping review and provide guidance on team heath, hiring and recruiting pipeline across the team and onboarding new team members. You will also shape agenda for team and leadership meetings, maintaining running list of action items and track progress. You will develop an in-depth understanding of how our platforms and services enable our clients and teams through technology. You will be hands-on, running and building key analysis and reports utilizing McKinsey's internal systems and combining various systems and datasets to drive decisions and clarity. You will be on point for owning and driving key central processing for the central team that will require collaboration with several support functions such as finance, cloud providers and HR.Qualifications
