Job Description

Artsy’s mission is to expand the art market to support more artists and art in the world. Artsy has created the world’s largest two-sided art marketplace, offering more than 1 million works by 100,000 artists from 4,000 leading galleries, fairs, auction houses, and institutions across 190 countries.

In support of putting art in the hands of consumers, we are currently seeking an experienced Senior Product Manager to help execute a product vision that provides collectors with unparalleled ability to purchase art seamlessly, in their currency of choice with multiple payment options.

As Purchase Product Manager you will lead a cross-functional team of engineers, designers, and data scientists to build products that provide experienced and aspiring collectors the tools they need to buy and sell art with confidence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain a clear product vision and roadmap for the purchase flow with the objective of increasing the number of payment options available to collectors and handle multi currencies transactions
  • Drive the product life cycle — managing products from conception to launch within an agile environment to deliver impact for our global users.
  • Lead, collaborate with, and motivate a team of engineers and other cross-functional representatives.
  • Incorporate data, research and market analysis to inform prioritization and strategy.
  • Evangelize your product vision to senior management, and diverse stakeholders to create alignment and buy in.

Candidate Qualifications:

  • 5+ years product management experience working within an agile development team with a successful track record of checkout/payment related products.
  • Ability to articulate product vision and inspire your team and stakeholders around an outcome.
  • Passion for building products that solve user needs.
  • Clear, concise communicator to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Expertise in global payment processing (Authorization, capture, etc), Foreign Exchange currencies, and fraud screening tools

Preferred, Not Required:

  • Two-sided marketplace, luxury ecommerce experience or fin-tech consumer experience.
  • Understanding of high price points, and/or psychologie of auction.
