MLT has created a thriving network of more than 8,000 rising leaders and is fundamentally transforming the diverse talent pipelines at its partner organizations, including more than 100 leading corporations, nonprofits, and graduate business schools.

MLT recently launched and is committed to rapidly scaling a first-of-its-kind Black Equity at Work Certification, which establishes a clear and comprehensive Black equity standard for employers, a concrete roadmap and support to achieve it, as well as recognition to enable and inspire lasting change.

MLT Black Equity at Work is an innovative new business unit within MLT that provides an opportunity to work at a world-changing, fast-paced start-up within a respected and established national non-profit organization.

MLT is seeking a DEI Certification Manager to establish the Employer Success program which will empower major employers committed to propelling Black Equity internally and in society to consistently achieve strong outcomes and results, while working directly with employers.

As an DEI Certification Manager, your role is to support major employers that pursue MLT Black Equity at Work Certification consistently set and achieve meaningful Black equity goals across the five MLT Black Equity Pillars - representation, compensation, antiracist/inclusive work environment, racially just business practices, and racial justice investments and contributions.

In this role you will:

  • Serve as the point of contact to Fortune 1000 companies who want to lead the industry in making meaningful ongoing progress toward Black equity
  • Ensure smooth handoffs from the BD rep who secures the Employer commitments
  • Provide best-in-class, end-to-end Certification Plan Development support for Employers, including effectively facilitating Employer onboarding, executive sponsor and planning team recruitment, baseline scoring, and customized Plan strategy development based on the employer’s strengths and challenges, so that Employers efficiently develop strong Black Equity at Work Certification Plans
  • Ensure MLT Black Equity at Work Certification Plan Approved employers receive the best possible implementation support to help them reach their goals and drive increased Black equity
  • Manage the development, deployment, and ongoing improvement of wholesale, small group, and, where operationally and financially feasible, individualized supports that increase Black Equity at Work Employer success with Plan Development and implementation and foster Black Equity Employer retention and enthusiasm
  • Create and maintain Employer profiles in Salesforce documenting: communications, stakeholder contacts, status (risk of drop-off), challenges, feedback, etc. and ensures Employer Success Managers do the same
  • Work across functions to ensure real-time employer feedback is being integrated into the program, platform, marketing, and operations

You should have:

  • 5+ years of professional experience in high-impact role and/or in change management, in ideally but not limited to DEI-related functions
  • Passion and consistent leadership for Black equity
  • Demonstrated track record of achieving measurable racial equity progress or other key organizational improvements at a major employer
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced, start-up environment
  • Experience influencing enterprise leadership & managing long term relationships that deliver business results
  • Proven track record supporting large teams in complex organizations to implement change
  • Experience building operations & relationship support plans from scratch, tracking success metrics and collaborating with product teams to build new features
  • Strong active listening skills
