The role is a vital part of the Broadcast Promotions department, helping to underpin the team & ensure the smooth, effective day to day running of the department. From undertaking key operational tasks around the office & helping collate all necessary assets for the pluggers, to booking artist travel, organising guestlist / ticket orders & helping to cover promotion where relevant.
The entry level role is perfect for a highly organised candidate who is passionate & eager to learn & progress within the Promotions department of a major Record Label.
The B Side: Skills & Experience
General Role Overview
- Assist the Broadcast Promotions Department with general duties
- To be the Promotion teams point of contact whilst the Pluggers are away from the building,
- Ensure the smooth running of the office, providing admin support to the team
- Assisting to book travel for artists + hair and make-up/band/crew when required
- Assisting the booking of international travel where required
- Assemble relevant artist assets for the team - Press Releases, Bio, Images, Audio, One Sheets etc
- Responsible for the Artist Relations Report & FOC (Stock) Orders for the department
- Assist in collating, updating & sending the weekly Promotions reports
- Maintain a gig diary & make sure all Promo activity & London gigs are in all the team members diaries
- To order gig tickets for the department & coordinate guest lists
- Keeping an up-to-date calendar of all promotional opportunities and collating document of undertaken promotional activity
- To be present at & help out pluggers during artist promotion when required
Be operational
- Help build mailers & service to key media where necessary
- Update & maintain department Contact Lists
- Be the main department point of contact for PlayMPE & ensure that the mailing lists are kept up to date
- Organising hair, make-up and stylists for artists as directed
- Deliver videos to Promostream and mail out to key media as and when required
- To ensure all TV’s with artists are logged/recorded and links ordered with Intelligent Media
- Assist department with sending videos, lyrics, riders, equipment lists, label copy, release dates and forthcoming releases, publicity photos
- To organise COS work permits when necessary for international artists
- Sending new tracks & videos to tracking services
- Scanning Radiomonitor daily & reporting new plays from a select list of artists that will change weekly.
- Attending gigs/events during out of office hours
- To work closely with Marketing assistants to ensure promotions team has a continually up to date release schedule

Person Specification
Necessary
- Passionate about music with a desire to progress in the industry
- A specific interest and knowledge to work within Promotions
- Good general knowledge about Radio & TV in the UK (stations, shows, performances)
- The ability to learn quickly
- Self-motivated, hardworking and enthusiastic
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Highly organised with the ability to keep calm under pressure
- Flexible and able to prioritise own workload
- Good computer skills i.e. Microsoft Office, Excel, and Word
Desirable
- Experience of working in an office environment
- Experience working in music (personal or professional)
- Creative and familiar with photoshop / adobe suite
