The Chief Operating Office (COO) is responsible for delivering a more consistent approach to business operations across Wells Fargo, strengthening the company’s risk and control infrastructure, and delivering effective and efficient enterprise services to employees and customers.

The COO group includes the head of Operations, who is jointly responsible for line of business operations with each of the five LOB CEOs. Operations functions include contact center operations, client servicing support, money movements within our businesses, lending operations, and other functions.

The COO group also includes a number of teams dedicated to strengthening Wells Fargo’s risk and control infrastructure. These include the Control Executive team; Regulatory and Policy Affairs; Enterprise Customer Excellence; Sales Practices Oversight and Management; and Strategic Execution and Operations.

The Chief Administrative Office, encompassing the Corporate Properties Group; Corporate Security; Enterprise Business Resiliency; Strategic Programs and Process Improvement; Enterprise Change Management; Supply Chain Management; and Data Management and Insights, delivers important services for our employees and customers.

This role within Data Management & Insights (DMI) reports through the Wells Fargo Customer Application Business Owner (ABO), supporting enterprise-wide systems (Data Assets) housing customer data including:

  • HOGAN Customer Information System (CIS)
  • Enterprise Information Warehouse (EIW)
  • Enterprise Customer Profile Reporting (ECPR).

The Data Management Consultant 2 will continue the expansion of a in-production process designed to ensure the synchronization of key data elements between HOGAN CIS and up-stream Systems of Record (SOR).

Key Responsibilities (80%) for the Data Management Consultant 2.

The Data Management Consultant 2 is responsible for overseeing and managing the process that compares key data elements within HOGAN CIS to up-stream SOR data to identify, report and track discrepancies between the systems. Initial Key responsibilities include:

  • Completing and implementing the on-boarding roadmap for up-stream SOR.
  • Establish agreement between ECS (Hogan CIS), Hogan CIS ABO, and LOB SORs to support ensuring that the procedures for reviewing the comparison results and following up with the appropriate actions continues to occur on an ongoing business as usual basis.
  • Partner with key stakeholders to develop data standards for key customer data attributes.
  • Provide consulting services and expertise to up-stream SOR for on-boarding and data mapping.
  • Tracks significant discrepancies and oversees research, disposition, and remediation of any significant discrepancies between HOGAN CIS and up-stream SOR.
  • Work across the enterprise to engage relevant stakeholder groups for remediation efforts.
  • Provide monthly reporting, quarterly reviews and annual re-assessments of process results.

Secondary Responsibilities (20%) for the Data Management Consultant 2, supporting the following activities within the scope of the Customer ABO’s Data Asset Management Routines including:

  • Support advanced and complex ad-hoc, business critical customer data requests in JIRA.
  • Support various policies, frameworks, and DMI Sponsored work efforts including:
    • Data Management Policy
    • Business Continuity Planning Policy
    • CIP/CDD Policy
    • G&O Framework
    • COSO Framework & Guidance
    • Data Security
    • Report Mapping and Issue Identification (RMII)
    • Enterprise Data Environment (EDE)
    • Vendor Management Policy
    • Records Retention
    • Issue Management
    • FRY14 Remediation
    • Privacy Policy

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: data management, data governance, data quality or data analysis demonstrated through work or military experience
  • 5+ years of experience with SAS or SQL, or other data management, reporting and query tools
  • 3 + years of technology release or implementation experience
  • 5+ years of experience with data analysis and documentation
  • 5+ years of reporting experience, analytics experience or a combination of both


Desired Qualifications

  • A BS/BA degree or higher
  • 3+ years of project management experience
  • Hogan experience
  • Ability to prepare and present senior level communications
  • Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access, and Project) skills
  • 3+ years of JIRA experience
  • Business Analyst experience


Other Desired Qualifications
  • Ability to identify root-cause issues/improvement opportunities, and design approaches/programs/products to improve overall quality assurance.
  • Ability to take an analytical, creative approach to problem solving.
  • Data governance and compliance experience.
  • Familiarity with data lineage, data quality attributes, and usage history usability.
  • General understanding of metadata management practices, specifically on managing business definitions, data dictionaries or business glossaries.
  • Ability to articulate complex concepts in a clear manner.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of an organization; including senior leadership/management.
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities and achieve results.
