The Enterprise Digital Member Experiences team (EDME) is responsible for the product management and design of American Express’ proprietary digital products – Amex Mobile App, americanexpress.com, Amex Offers, Customer Personalization and Amex communication channels (email, SMS & push notifications).

As a team we are focused on driving engagement, satisfaction and revenue through a combination of best-in-class user experience and compelling features and functionality. We have a global remit and, with our partners across the company, we bring the best of American Express’ payment and related services to life through our digital experiences.

We are looking for a product leader to join the team and focus on our Amex Mobile product. As VP, Product Management, you will lead a team responsible for the development of native features and functionality within the Amex App across Loyalty & Benefits, Partnerships and Banking domains. You will partner with a cross-functional team of engineering, product design and research, analytics to define and deliver the next generation of mobile experiences for our customers. A successful candidate will have significant product management experience, a hypothesis-driven mentality and exceptional organizational influence.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop the strategy for the next generation of mobile experiences taking into account the company’s focus and vision.
  • Lead a cross-functional team of designers, researchers, analysts, and engineers dedicated to defining and deploying features and functionality that our customers will love.
  • Lead a team of talented product managers with a focus on developing their skills, as well as creating and maintaining a diverse and inclusive culture.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the enterprise to understand individual line of business priorities, define collective success and create a product roadmap that delivers on a shared vision and outcomes.
  • Continuously identify ways to test new hypotheses and improve upon our ability to drive revenue, engagement and great customer outcomes.
  • Work with portfolio and program teams to facilitate tradeoffs and remove roadblocks during product development.
  • Engage in healthy debate of ideas and be able to communicate the web product vision and strategy broadly throughout the organization.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 8+ years of Product Management experience with a proven record of successfully launching customer facing digital experiences with a large user base.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate large teams of product managers, designers, engineers and business partners.
  • Exceptional communication skills, in writing and verbally, whether in small group discussions, large scale presentations or with executives.
  • Ability to use data and analytics to inform decisions and solve complex problems
  • Ability to prioritize well and articulate your product roadmap across enterprise business functions and geographies.
  • Strong thought leadership in the digital space, ability to interpret insights and trends into best-in-class digital experiences.
  • An engaging, resilient and optimistic spirit
