Wells Fargo’s Summer Internship Experience is designed to help you learn more about what we do and the banking sector by getting involved in real life value adding projects. This is a 10 week virtual experience, and you will be paid for your participation. (During Covid-19 office visits can be arranged providing it is permitted by government lockdown guidelines and Wells Fargo health & safety procedures.)
We will provide you with various learning opportunities and support throughout your time with us. On joining, a buddy – graduate young professional on our team – will help guide you through the transition from classroom to a professional workplace. Learning is on the job from experts in your team, as well as specifically designed courses providing the technical and general business skills needed to be successful. You will have the opportunity to meet senior leaders and other experts across the company to start building your professional network. Primary areas of responsibility
While the primary focus of a bank is to serve clients’ needs, there is a heavy focus on making sure we adhere to laws and rules and high standards; in other words that clients are treated fairly and that the company operates well in financial markets. This Summer Internship Experience is with the compliance function and the Chief Operating Office. The compliance team assists many departments across the bank in making sure it minimises the risk of legal or regulatory sanctions, financial loss or bad reputation as a result of failure to comply with all applicable laws, rules and regulations. The Chief Operating Office oversees the running of the whole bank; making sure that day to day activities are organised effectively and run efficiently to meet these standards.
During your 10 weeks, you will work alongside and learn from the Compliance and Chief Operating Office teams; develop an understanding, knowledge and awareness of the regulatory and organisational landscape, and gain experience in an area whose profile and impact has never been
