Group Description
Subscription Finance Group (“SFG”) provides fund-level financing to private equity funds and other asset managers through structured credit facilities. Subscription Finance resides within Financial Institutions Group, which is part of Wells Fargo Corporate & Investment Banking.

Role

Description
Subscription Finance team members exhibit a dual-focus on strong product knowledge and building long-lasting customer relationships, while remaining committed to best-in-class risk management with a strong focus on AML/KYC compliance.
The candidate will assist in the origination, execution and on-going monitoring of subscription credit facilities.
The candidate will typically work as a part of a 3-4 person deal team, and support senior team members through active involvement in all aspects of the deal process. Core responsibilities will include: preparation of detailed credit memorandums and financial models in support of fund-level credit facilities, analysis of fund investors, reviewing fund documentation and liaising with internal and external stakeholders during the deal closing process.
Additionally, the candidate will work with other lines of business (e.g. Foreign Exchange, International Trade Finance) to ensure comprehensive institutional client coverage. Essential

Requirements


• Bachelor's or Master’s degree (2.1 or better).
• Experience (or long-term internship) at an investment bank, asset manager or another reputable financial services firm.
• Exceptional attention to detail with a strong sense of personal accountability.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Ability to work as a team player in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment, including ability to coordinate multiple work streams and deliver against tight timelines.
• Demonstrated experience in analyzing financial statements.
• Experience in using Excel to analyze and clearly present data.
• Proficient use of Word and PowerPoint.
• Self-starter with a willingness to work long hours where required, and a strong problem-solving mindset.
Preferred
• Some financial services industry experience.
• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Math, Physics, Engineering or a related field.
• Experience in private equity, structured finance, asset management, credit or capital markets.
• Ability to interact with clients in a confident and professional manner.
• Experience in credit underwriting.
• Fluency in an additional language is a plus
