About the job

As the Director of Marketing for Google Search Trust, you will lead the marketing team focused on earning and sustaining user Trust in Google Search. You will be an advocate of user privacy and passionate about delivering high quality information to help users and societies at large. You'll bring insights and thought leadership to inform and inspire product and strategy decisions. You will set the Marketing strategy and deliver programs to engage both users and key opinion formers, clarifying our principles, practices and the value we bring. You’ll also be a key player in working with our Policy teams to lead and contribute to policy based campaigns directed to key stakeholders and regulators.

Know the user. Know the magic. Connect the two. At its core, marketing at Google starts with technology and ends with the user, bringing both together in unconventional ways. Our job is to demonstrate how Google's products solve the world's problems--from the everyday to the epic, from the mundane to the monumental. And we approach marketing in a way that only Google can--changing the game, redefining the medium, making the user the priority, and ultimately, letting the technology speak for itself.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with cross-functional leadership to shape the overall strategy and product roadmap for earning and sustaining trust in Google Search globally.
  • Lead the Trust Marketing team across product marketing, insights, narrative, and user and KOF engagement.
  • Craft compelling communication programs that drive awareness of Google Search’s principles and approach to key issues such as privacy, information quality and social responsibility.
  • Collaborate with Policy and PR teams to engage media, key opinion formers and policy makers around complex issues and demonstrate Google Search’s value in compelling ways.
  • Connect the dots across products and company initiatives to define and amplify Search’s position within our overall Google Trust efforts.
