Direct reporting line to the Business Finance Director EMEA

Accountabilities:

  1. Monitors financial performance across all EMEA affiliates (and brands)

- Prepares analysis of trends and their financial consequences at regional level

- Conducts any specific financial analysis upon request

2. Coordinates consolidation of monthly estimates, budget and strategy plans

- Drives timely and accurate consolidation in compliance with GAAP and analysis of core financial information

- Sets up systematic controls over sales and expense of affiliates in conjunction with Brand Finance Managers in the region

3. Prepares monthly management reporting to senior management

- Provides useful insights on performance drivers

- Introduces relevant KPIs that enable better visibility on business matters

4. Supports ad hoc projects/workstreams on various regional finance initiatives

- Tracks financial impact of any major back and front office project

- Contributes and co-drives continuous improvements on systems/ tools to improve analytics

5. Communicates with corporate Finance in NY to guarantee common understanding of both parties on guidelines, processes etc


Qualifications

Education

Master degree required

Work Experience

- 4-6 years of relevant business controlling experience, preferably in the cosmetics/luxury industry or similar and/or FMCG.

- Working in a matrix environment.

- Accounting/Auditing experience appreciated but not mandatory

- Project management experience appreciated

Key Skills and Personal Characteristics

- Experience with financial systems: ERP (SAP or similar), Reporting (Hyperion or similar)

- Strong analytical skills; ability to identify critical concerns and prioritize; problem-solving/ solution finder abilities.

- Strong communication skills

- Ability to handle a multitude of projects and issues at one time

- Pro-active

- Excellent team player and interpersonal skills; ability to interact with all levels within an organization

- Real sense of organization and hands on.

- Self-motivation; High energy level; ability to work independently

- Interest in learning and ability to integrate information to identify the implications of macro trends for the business.

- Open-minded. Actively elicits different points of view and understands different perspectives

- Capacity to manage pressure and resist to stress
