Corporate & Investment Banking delivers a comprehensive suite of capital markets, banking, and financial products and services. A trusted partner to our clients, we provide corporate and transactional banking; commercial real estate lending and servicing; investment banking; equity; and fixed income solutions including sales, trading, and research capabilities to corporate, commercial real estate, government, and institutional clients across the globe.
This position is within the Business Execution Services team (BES) and will lead strategic change initiatives aligned to the priorities of CIB and enterprise efforts. This work includes leading the definition of target state solutions in alignment with business objectives, driving decision-making, and working with process owners to determine impacts and key deliverables and leading execution of the delivery across impacted areas.
CIB Capital Markets Senior Analyst & Project Lead Responsibilities:
- Lead strategic and transformational initiatives within the CIB Capital Markets, Coverage (lending) and Commercial Real Estate (CRE) lines of business, including both traditional non-trading investment banking and lending domains.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to the business COOs and business leads in how best to plan and execute a portfolio of change.
- Develop understanding of overall book of work (BoW) and support prioritization process for those dependencies with senior management.
- Drive delivery of strategic and transformational initiatives and projects.
- Interact with senior leaders and executive management. Has full management responsibility over a set of project deliverables.
- Ensure PMO, technology, and Policy groups are in agreement on approaches and actively supporting delivery.
- Lead the identification and build-out of key products, processes and capabilities for CIB lines of business, with particular emphasis on client facing products, internal processes, applications and regulatory requirements.
- Act as project manager for projects from initiation to implementation and transition to BAU, leading and influencing other project resources and partner teams.
- Partner with Business, Technology, Operations, Risk and other key stakeholders on the planning, execution, management and resourcing of business line specific, cross CIB or Enterprise initiatives, managing project plans, dependencies, issues and risks.
- Provide guidance on project execution approach, determining the right tools for the relevant need within the portfolio.
- Ensure that change management (communication & training) and user experience (adoption) is a focus of every project undertaken.
- Drive the project & investment strategic planning cycle to secure funding for significant projects.
- Actively manage resource requirements. Establish budgets, track budget burn rate vs. forecast and manage project funding processes as required.
- Produce consolidated reporting and financial tracking for all portfolio items in the CIB Coverage portfolio.
Other BES Delivery Responsibilities:
- Create an implementation strategy for business initiatives and product releases based on input from business, product development, technology and partner teams, including cost/benefits.
- Develop and maintain multi-year roadmap of strategic capabilities and product build out considering business strategy and regulatory environment.
- Work with impacted areas to understand complex problems. Focus on bringing issues and risks to resolution; identifying solutions and developing clear options and recommendations that drive decision making.
- Use problem solving skills to develop custom approaches and solutions (process improvement, change management, product management, projects, etc.) that are tailored to the problem.
- Proactively engage Sponsor, Business, Project Team, Tech and Operations in prioritization and decision-making. Interact and negotiate with senior level management on behalf of delivery team.
- Work with peers to develop and drive goals, define business specifications and work with technology and operations counterparts on platform design.
- Provide subject matter expertise on applicable product, processes and applications and identify extensions of Corporate & Investment Banking capabilities to other areas.
This position is subject to FINRA Background Screening Requirements, including successful completion and clearing of a background check. Required Qualifications- 10+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: business support, project management, implementation, business operations or strategic planning

- Strong analytical skills including analyzing complex data
Other Desired Qualifications - 10+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: Banking, consulting, program/project management, strategic planning, or implementation
- 5+ years of experience creating and implementing strategic plans and roadmaps at the executive level for enterprise wide business initiatives
- Ability to communicate effectively with business partners and project managers
- Proven ability to manage and coordinate multiple initiatives simultaneously, effectively resolving issues and conflicts as they arise
- Ability to lead large complex cross functional area initiatives and delivery teams in a matrix management environment
- Ability to manage multiple or large technology infrastructure functions with a focus on driving complex projects requiring participation of cross-functional groups
- Subject matter expertise in the lending & credit lifecycle – including but not limited to pitch, underwriting, credit approval, booking and funding, servicing and portfolio management
- Subject matter expertise in non-trading Corporate & Investment Banking – industry coverage, advisory, lending, treasury management, trade financing, equity & debt origination
- Subject matter expertise in Commercial Real Estate – including, but not limited to: credit origination, underwriting, serving and portfolio management of both balance sheet and third party loans
- Experience working with teams who provide business management support for traditional non-trading investment banking and corporate banking products
- Demonstrated experience leading the definition and delivery of large scale complex and strategic initiatives from inception to implementation
- Highly organized and disciplined leadership capabilities
- Multi-disciplined skill set transcending finance, accounting, technology, and business expertise
- Demonstrated understanding and use of change management, process improvement, product development and project delivery methodologies
- Demonstrated understanding and use of a System Development Lifecycle (SDLC) methodology and Agile methodology

Salary InformationThe salary range displayed below is based on a Full-time 40 hour a week schedule.
