The ISR & Space Systems business unit provides products and services to global government and commercial customers that enable mission success in the harshest environments of space, in the air, at sea, and on the ground.

We design and manufacture Environmental Control and Life Support Systems (ECLSS), Active Thermal Control Systems (ATCS), and Fuel Cell Systems (FCS) on a number of space & sea platforms including the International Space Station, the U.S. space suit, the next generation of space vehicles such as CST-100 and Orion, and the US Navy’s submarine fleet.
We are searching for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to join us as a Systems Engineer to support the design, development, verification & validation, and operational support of ECLSS, ATCS & FCS hardware for our Maritime applications supporting US & International Submarines & Unmanned Under Water Vehicles.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • System development trade studies and optimization
  • Development of concepts of operations
  • Developing product requirements at the system/component level for mechanical/electrical/software, thermal/fluid/chemical system modeling, steady state & transient performance analyses, as well as component sizing

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident “Green Card” holder Ability to work well both independently and within an integrated product development (IPD) team environment
  • Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of relevant experience OR
  • In absence of a degree, 7 years of relevant experience is required
  • Can take ownership of Systems Engineering responsibilities at a component / subsystem level with some oversight
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent writing & math skills
  • Skills in Matlab/Simulink/Simscape, DOORS & DXL, Excel & VBA, Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), SysML, MagicDraw & Cameo Modeler

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience performing thermal/fluid/chemical analyses
  • Relevant component hardware experience: heat exchangers, pumps/fans/separators/motors/motor controllers, chemical beds, sensors, valves, accumulators
  • Experience on hardware development program or project
  • Experience with control logic and state machines for an electrical-mechanical application
  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical/Aerospace/Chemical/Systems Engineering from an accredited institution, with 2-10 years of experience is preferred
