Program Overview
The overall objective of the established Emission Reduction and Sequestration Initiative to transform the behaviors of individuals and organizations to be more aware of their negative environmental impact, act upon it and could scale up their positive contribution for the current and future societies. One of the ways WRI Indonesia will achieve this is through making a mobile application for community to measure their emission based on their lifestyle. a web-based environmental emission monitoring processes and systems. The Consultant is expected to provide services to develop from scratch a database and data flow pipeline for the website application of emission program that compliments the mobile version in terms of content and algorithm, as required by WRI Indonesia and its clients/partners’ relevant sustainability programs.
The overall contribution of The Consultant would be to design, construct, install and maintain a highly scalable data engineering and management system with user-interface for the EMISI App and its relevant data sources. Specifically, The Consultant would co-lead the identification of data and its sources, implemented to a usable database in the objective to digitalize procedures of user emission calculation, forest fund disbursement and tree monitoring data of the EMISI App. The database would be accessed by various analysts at WRI Indonesia, which requires a front-end user-interface. The Consultant will work closely with WRI Indonesia’s analysts and App Developers to unlock data that could be used for administrative procedures and sustainability-related analysis.

Duration
The duration of this contract for the Consultant is 1 April to 3o September 2021 (a total of 6 months). Extensions are possible following project needs, Consultant’s performance, and budget availability.
Terms of Payment
Daily rate consultant with maximum 90 (ninety) working days for the entire duration of this contract, with no minimum working days per month. The Consultant will be paid on monthly basis following approval of timesheets.
Final candidates might be required to take a writing test and to produce two writing samples when needed.
Consultant rate: Consultant rate is commensurate with experience and skills.
