Responsibilities
The Manager- New Product Integration is responsible for planning, coordinating, organizing, and leading the implementation of new product from the product selection phase to production documentation. Key in this role is working closely with diverse teams across facilities, communicating priorities, understanding constraints, and utilizing a network to solve issues in order to meet implementation targets and is ultimately responsible for the on-time delivery of all development phase samples and sign off for all new products. The Manager is highly visible and utilizes excellent communication skills to deliver results.
- Product Development: The Manager ensures accurate and consistent communication with project leads/team members on project status. Information is gathered on progress, bottlenecks, quality issues and constraints. The situation is re-assessed, SMEs are consulted, and redirection efforts are coordinated. Delegation of tasks and alignment of priorities are essential. The Manger will manage a team of Project Leads who will work with their cross-functional counterparts on the Merchandising teams and JDIW teams located in New York.
- Collaboration: Facilitate cross-department collaboration between team members and various stakeholders to ensure successful project execution. Stakeholders include, but not limited to: CAD/CAM, GQS, Manufacturing, QA, HD team, Engineering, Finance and the Jewelry Design and Innovation Workshop.
- Systematic set up of new products: Collection and compilation of data. Interface inter-departmentally to generate, document, change and control new product and manufacturing related data as needed for drawings, bills of material (BOMs), routing sequences, process flow charts, standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions. Responsible for ensuring BOM’s and Routes are set up properly in accordance to manufacturing needs and standards.
- Reporting: Collection and compilation of data; Preparation of reports and presentations related to project status and ensuring the accuracy of all Project Leads’ work is represented.
- Work safely at all times by consistently following safe work procedures for your position as well as all safety procedures required at your work site. Promptly report all incidents and safety issues to your supervisor/manager. Adhere to all safety requirements. Provide safety leadership among co-workers.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or 5-8 years of related experience
- Demonstrated Project Management expertise, preferably in an industrial / manufacturing environment
- 5+ years people management experience
- Ability to deliver presentations and communicate to multiple levels within the organization
- Working knowledge of JD Edwards or other enterprise system(s)
- Proven ability to lead cross functional teams and in mentor team members
- Strong ability to manage multiple projects
- Strong communication skills: verbal, written and presentation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project and OneNote)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Multilingual, (Spanish)
- Knowledge of modern jewelry manufacturing techniques
- Understanding of basic statistical tools: Minitab preferable
- Six Sigma Certification
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
