Corporate Trust Services technology team, under Wholesale Banking Technology - EIT, is seeking a Software Engineer to aid in the development and maintenance of SSRS reports which support Commercial Mortgage Backed Securities, Mortgage Asset Systems and CDO fusion application users.

This position provides technical knowledge and support in the development and maintenance of SSRS reports. The new team member will work with team members to coordinate application changes to support reporting needs. In addition, they will work with the team to analyze business requirements, design and write technical specifications/user stories to support report solutions within an Agile Scrum work structure.

This position will require the development and maintenance of SSRS reports to support Commercial Mortgage Backed Securities, Mortgage Asset Systems and CDO fusion application users. They will adhere to best practices and secure coding standards as put forth by the SDLC and Wells Fargo Bank following Agile methodology. They will collaborate with on-shore and off-shore team members as part of the SDLC and Production Support. The position offers opportunities to partner with business product owners and application technology teams. The position will aid in project work, report status to the Team Lead, and assure quality, security and compliance requirements are met for supported areas including the business continuation plan and execution.

Responsibilities include:

  • Develops new reports and maintenance of existing SSRS reports.
  • Create ad-hoc reports as needed.
  • Generate various Monthly, Quarterly and Yearly reports of different report types within SSRS.
  • Design and develop stored procedures, queries and views necessary to support SSRS reports.
  • Analyze data models, data relationships and dependencies for greatest optimization.
  • Perform functional, regression and performance testing
  • Participate in design and code reviews, creates test data, debug code, support business continuity plan testing.
  • Have the Ability to interface directly with the business for both process creation of how the report support/development will work and on-going support needs.
  • Collaborate with both on-shore and off-shore technical counterparts as part of the SDLC and Production Support.
  • Assure adherence to secure coding standards, security requirements, and software development lifecycle practices.
  • Individual will partner with technical leads, business analysts, DBA's, system support analysts, and other project and support partners to design and provide technical solutions.
  • Provides Level 3 Production Support with the team for SSRS which may include after hours and weekends.
  • Follow Agile Scrum methodology

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience
  • 5+ years of SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) experience


Desired Qualifications

  • An industry-standard technology certification
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of business requirement analysis and design including: documentation of data and system architectures
  • Knowledge and understanding of technical documentation: development
  • 1+ year of Java experience
  • 3+ years of JIRA experience


Other Desired Qualifications
  • 4+ years of experience with databases such as Oracle, DB2, SQL server, or Teradata
  • 3+ years of PL/SQL experience
  • 2+ years of Agile experience
  • 2 + years of experience with Agile tools
  • 3+ years of experience for Test Planning, Test Status Reporting and Test Preparation
  • 1+ year of JIRA experience

Salary Information

The salary range displayed below is based on a Full-time 40 hour a week schedule.
MN-Minneapolis: Min: $84,000 Mid: $120,000
