Position Purpose
The Floor Planning team is responsible for managing all floorplans for assigned categories or store groups, including New and Remodel stores, using Blue Yonder Floor Planning Software. This role will lead the effort in defining and developing various reporting and analytical tools that provide foundation analytics used in space optimization at the micro and macro level. This Floor Planning Analyst is expected to serve as a go-to Floor Planning expert and will lead cross-functional projects for the department.
Essential Job Functions The incumbent must be able to perform all of the
following duties and responsibilities with or without a reasonable
accommodation.
Floorplan Development/Management:
- Executes quality control measures for all floorplans, ensuring accuracy of store/POG assignments, compliance with merchandise adjacency criteria and/or corporate standards; emphasis on accuracy, attention to detail, and an inquisitive mindset
- Accountable for data integrity of all planogram assignments to ensure accurate fixture quantification.
- Utilizes all appropriate tools and levers to maximize space productivity, minimize unproductive inventories and ensure that financial targets are met; actively identifies opportunities and makes recommendations to optimize space productivity
- Challenge the status quo -- must be analytically inclined and have a passion for finding those causal factors that can constrain performance and profits. Is able to drive for and deliver process improvements.
- Effectively understand the technical aspects of the Blue Yonder Category Management Suite. Should be comfortable with the structured logical thinking required to write formulas to assist teams with report creation and generation
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work effectively with a cross-functional team.
- Works cross-functionally to gain alignment on merchandise plans for new/remodel stores in accordance to strategic objectives while achieving the highest possible profitability.
- Design and develop enhanced planogram and floor plan reports.
- Create, Edit, Maintain and execute Space Automation scripts to streamline application tasks for end users
- Support, develop and maintain layouts, highlights, tables, reports, fixtures, Business Rule Validations, Quality Check scripts, configuration settings, data mapping documentation and file structures associated with the applications.
- Work in conjunction with the Space Management group to ensure all POGs/Displays are appropriately placed on the floorplans and correct POGs assigned in accordance with the annual reset schedule
Decision Support:
- Using creativity, analytical and project management skills, plan, develop and determine appropriate course of action for all floorplan layout projects
- Partner with appropriate members of the category management team to ensure a collaborative and consistent approach is taken towards the business strategies and/or imperatives.
- Exceptional analytical skills and diligent about taking action based on findings – must possess analytical and financial literacy aimed at ensuring our business intentions generate sustainable returns on investment.
