We are looking for a virtualization software engineer who will develop highly secure virtual SD-WAN appliances for on-prem and cloud environments. This is a key software engineering position. The candidate is responsible for development of virtualization drivers and virtualization support in guest VMs. Software performance engineering is an essential aspect of the role.

How you’ll make your mark:

You will architect, design, develop, install, configure, manage, monitor and troubleshoot virtual products for both on-prem and cloud environments to proactively improve the quality and performance of Silver Peak’s EdgeConnect product.

About you:

You have a B.Tech or M.Tech in EE, CS or related engineering discipline

You have 8+ years of software development experience in Linux environment using C

You have experience with installation and configuration of virtual machines on major hypervisors such as VMware ESXi, Linux KVM, Microsoft Hyper-V

You have good understanding of Hypervisor internals

You understand performance analysis and tuning

You have excellent background in network and application layer security

You have experience with Linux development and C programming

You have experience working with networking and disk access drivers

You have experience with various cloud infrastructures: AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI

You have strong problem-solving skills
