We are currently encouraging applications of computer scientists eager to touch the lives of people around the world by addressing challenging, unmet needs in healthcare by means of innovative methods in data analytics.

As a data scientist, you will enable Philips and its customers to make the most out of their data. You will analyze diverse data sources with a broad range of tools and methods. In close collaboration with our business partners, you will co-create internal and customer-facing analytics solutions and evaluate them in the real world.

Your Responsibilities

• Drive the full data analytics stack: data exploration, preparation, ETL, modelling, visualization
• Work with our business partners to transform their real-life challenges to analytics solutions
• Develop front-end tools to demonstrate and evaluate your methods
• Contribute to the field of data science, present your work at conferences and in journals and transfer research results into practical solutions

Your Profile

As part of a large, global organization, you will have access to a wide range of knowledge and resources, which are hard to find elsewhere.

• PhD in computer science, physics or engineering sciences
• Proven capabilities in data handling, processing and visualization
• Solution-driven mind set, willingness to engage in the subject matter of the task
• Ability to independently develop innovative analytics algorithms
• Knowledge of open source analytics and visualization tools (e.g. Python, d3)
• Web programming skills
• Knowledge in data modeling, databases, SQL
• Proficiency in the English language
