The Global Sourcing Manager, Global and Enterprise Mobility will work with cross-functional teams to support new and ongoing programs and manage Requests for Quote, Statement of Work development, pricing and contract negotiations, procuring goods, managing key suppliers, participating in the Sales & Operations Planning process, and analyzing spend. We are looking for self-motivated and high energy individuals to support the vital work of diverse Viasat teams.

Responsibilities:

• As a flexible member of the GMS Supply Chain team you may support the sourcing of multiple commodity areas including but not limited to: Engineering and other Professional Services, ODA Services, General Aviation Services, IT Hardware and Software, Testing Services, etc.
• Develop relationships with stakeholders throughout the organization and coordinate sourcing strategies, opportunities, and requirements
• Learn stakeholders’ priorities, ensuring Statements of Work and resulting contracts and purchase orders support those needs
• Manage quote efforts - including the collection of requirements, management of supplier communications, and review of bid responses
• Negotiate business area agreements that minimize financial and business risks, and provide optimal terms and conditions
• Provide senior-level procurement support to internal stakeholders on supplier contracts and measure supplier performance to these contracts; hold regular supplier business reviews as a means to foster key partnerships.
• Identify/Lead/Participate in strategic initiatives that deliver benefits to the organization
• Manage suppliers in areas including:
• Initiating and maintaining contracts and purchase orders
• Evolving and managing the supplier base with input from internal clients
• Monitoring performance of suppliers while serving as a resource to resolve issues and problems

Requirements:

• 5-7+ years of corporate procurement/purchasing/sourcing experience (preferably indirect procurement)
• Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and apply knowledge
• Strong MS Office Suite skills (Word, Excel, Power Point)
• US citizenship required
• Ability to travel up to 10%

Preferences

• Advanced degree
• Experience with ERP system, Oracle or similar
• Experience in the Aviation industry
• Experience in an entrepreneurial, high-tech environment
