Lockheed Martin is seeking a THAAD Ground Production Support Program Manager. This position will report to the UTIAMD THAAD Development Program Director with a strong dotted line to the UTIAMD THAAD Ground Production Senior Manager.
The UTIAMD Development Program Area is responsible for the execution of THAAD Weapon System and Component design, development, integration and test inclusive of expanded UTIAMD developments, follow-on and R&D efforts for UTIAMD Programs. Development efforts include, but are not limited to, development of future Weapon System capabilities, incremental product changes, redesigns and changes due to obsolescence, increased performance capability, cost reduction initiatives, technology insertion, and changes in response to an expanded target space.
The THAAD Ground Hardware staff is made up of design and specialty engineering, manufacturing and material support, quality assurance, and test employees who provide support to all development, production, and post-production activities for US and FMS contracts. The support provided to the production activities is funded separate from development and post-production activities and must be managed to ensure proper support is planned and executed throughout the contract activities in order to successfully complete product deliveries. This requires coordination of personnel, leadership, suppliers, and customers located at multiple sites located both domestically and internationally.
As the Ground Production Support Program Manager, the selected candidate will be responsible for managing the budget, scope, and schedule for Ground Hardware support to Ground Production activities for all THAAD US and FMS contracts. In this role the selected candidate will:
• Ensure successful execution of all Production Support proposal activities
• Manage all Ground Hardware Production Support budget, schedule, and contract deliverables
• Manage staffing profiles and coordinate with functional managers to ensure all production support activities are properly staffed.
• Manage Work Breakdown Structure and distribute budget accordingly across the Ground Hardware team to include Engineering, Test, Manufacturing, Material Planning, Finance and Business Operations, Qualify, Safety, New Business, etc.
• Successfully execute Ground Production activities to include:
o Contract deliveries on time and within budget
o Regularly occurring reviews with the customer
o Risk and Opportunity Management
o Monthly EVM and CSERT reviews
Basic Qualifications:
• Demonstrated experience in Earned Value Management (EVM) as a Certified CAM and/or PM, DPM, EPM, MPM or IPT Lead
• Practical experience with Program Performance Management (PPM)
• Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment with internal and external customers.
• Managing multiple stakeholders with differing goals and objectives.
• Must be able to work onsite and support periodic travel to production locations
• Experience leading and driving program teams and technical/production efforts to on time completion.
• Demonstrated verbal, written and presentation communication skills with ability to engage horizontally and vertically at all levels of the organization
Desired Skills:
Experience working in a Production environment
• Experience working on contracts with Missile Defense Agency
• Demonstrated ability to establish positive customer relationships with Government and Industry customers.
• Firsthand experiences, some in a leadership capacity, monitoring and assessing program performance. Ensure continuity of action item closure and risk management.
• Experience with Risk and Opportunity Management
• Familiarity with Lockheed Martin Command Media structure and a thorough understanding of policies associated with program execution and risk/opportunity management
• Willingness to work in a virtual environment
• 5+ years of PM or DPM experience leading, planning and executing programs
• 5+ years of practical experience with Program Performance Management (PPM) / Earned Value Management (EVM) as a Certified CAM and/or PM, DPM, EPM, MPM or IPT Lead
• Technical background to guide and direct technical issues, preferably Electrical or Mechanical system and/or hardware related.
• Program Management Certification
