Sr Analyst, Affiliate Marketing

American Express Global Commercial Services (GCS) is dedicated to helping businesses thrive. The GCS US SME (Small Medium Enterprise) Prospect Marketing organization is responsible for acquiring and engaging new small business and corporate customers. Within Prospect Marketing, the Distribution Partnerships team leverages our relationships with a diverse set of partners to acquire new small business customers as well as engaging and educating Small Business Owners (SBOs) throughout the acquisition funnel.

The Senior Analyst, Affiliate Marketing will lead reporting, analysis, and forecasting for our affiliate acquisition program spanning more than 30 partners and 12 products. This is an exciting opportunity to inform investment decisions and drive growth in digital marketing as part of a dynamic team. Strong candidates will be analytical, curious, and collaborative.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead weekly and monthly channel performance analysis, including production of reports and insights for internal and external audiences
  • Lead monthly and annual forecasting for affiliate program, including sizing and communicating changes to investment needs
  • Manage channel budget and own invoicing, payments, and reconciliation processes in close collaboration with external agencies and internal partners
  • Partner closely with analytics and investment optimization teams to develop performance commentary and recommend optimization tactics
  • Nurture relationships with high priority Affiliate partners and identify strategies to deliver additional growth
  • Provide ad hoc support for team projects, including sizings and business cases
Minimum Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Superb analytical skills, including proficiency in Excel
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to extract relevant insights from data to inform channel recommendations
  • Demonstrated ability to build effective relationships across diverse set of internal colleagues and external partners
  • Excellent verbal and written communicator who can articulate performance results and drivers to varied audiences
  • Self starter with ability to navigate complex processes independently and prioritize among multiple projects
  • Enthusiastic and curious; comfortable in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
  • 2+ years of relevant experience
  • Digital marketing, marketing research, or agency management experience a plus
