Responsibilities:
- Lead projects and teams focused on engineering work. Plan work, deliver to timelines, act independently and proactively.
- Participate in discussions with technical planners, vendors and infrastructure colleagues to develop solutions for business clients.
- Independently identify, evaluate and provide engineering for technologies within the Windows platform (OS, monitoring, backup, server management, patching, security compliance, etc.). Identify, develop, test and deploy components of the Windows infrastructure.
- Provide influence on the Windows roadmap and platform for Organon. Make recommendations on what technologies and SW/HW standards we’ll deploy.
- Drive platform roadmaps with the development of new engineering releases for Windows software and hardware standards.
- Plan and execute proof of concept work for new technologies, see them through the whole cycle from idea to implementation.
- Participate in researching and evaluating internal technology resources vs. external options, and provide input on technical solution alternatives.
- Drive process improvements through the use of automation.
- Drive innovation with thought leadership and technical expertise.
- Act as Windows expert and offer help and advice to colleagues from various other teams.

Education Minimum Requirement:
- MSc Degree or BSc Degree or equivalent with relevant experience in Computer Science, Computer Science Engineering, Math, or equivalent experience.
Related experience:
- Strong ITIL and process discipline to ensure compliance within the managed services framework and the ability to identify and implement process improvements.
- Prior experience leading Global teams as part of Service Delivery of Infrastructure
- 7 years relevant Systems Administration Experience in Microsoft Windows related Infrastructure
- Windows Server Operating System versions (2003/2008/2012/2016)
- Server hardware design and configuration, OS and core server application configurations, systems capacity planning, maintenance and deep technical troubleshooting.
- Windows Operating System configuration. Group policy, testing and troubleshooting.
- Systems Administrator and troubleshooting experience with Windows Servers Operating Systems on physical and virtual server.
- Experience deploying, patching and maintaining Windows operating systems in an enterprise environment.
- Experience with Microsoft Deployment Toolkit and related technologies.
- Knowledge working with rack mount and blade x86 hardware components (DL380 G9, G10 etc.)
- Creating technical roadmaps, patching and security strategies, developing security and auditing tools.
- Knowledge of Cloud technology integration including Amazon and Azure.
- Windows Server Licensing, Active Directory Group Policy Objects, Windows Profiles (Local, Roaming, Mandatory), Windows Logon Scripts, Windows Registry, NTSF file system.
- Knowledge of networking protocols and components.
- Strong in Powershell scripting.
Relevant experience and working knowledge with following:
- Experience with AWS EC2
- Experience with converged and hyperconverged infrastructure is an advantage
- Automation of server provisioning, decommissioning and other support tasks.
- Understanding of project planning mechanisms (i.e., project scope, labor and resource cost estimates) and scheduling.
- Working knowledge of how engineering functions collaborate and integrate holistically with other IT areas to contribute to seamless delivery of business-focused technical solutions.
- Experience with ITIL, Remedy, CMDB, Change Control process
- Support server hardware, OS and core server application configurations, systems capacity planning, server maintenance, troubleshooting issues escalated from off shore team.
