Deloitte Risk & Financial Advisory QRM Support Specialist

Job Overview:

The Quality Risk Management (QRM) Support Specialist plays an important role in the client service contracting and delivery cycle under limited supervision, where they perform and manage the submission intake process supporting the QRM review process. They also conduct independent, preliminary reviews of lower-risk submissions, evaluating the sufficiency and accuracy of these submissions, and communicate the results directly to engagement leadership. The Support Specialist will exercise independent judgment and discretion to help ensure risk reviews are taking place in an efficient and effective manner. Certain preliminary reviews are performed to confirm that all expected information is made available for the QRM. Furthermore, the Support Specialist helps collect and track metrics and statistics related to Operations as well as supporting National QRM strategic initiatives.

Individuals should be self-motivated and able to think and work independently and collaboratively within a team setting. Intermediate-level proficiency of administrative skills is required; including articulate verbal and written communication skills, working knowledge of general office tools, as well as computing and writing skills. The role also requires basic knowledge of the Risk and Financial Advisory business and offering portfolios, Quality and Risk Management processes, workflow and requirements, and other behavioral competencies (e.g., professionalism, ability to accept and incorporate feedback, etc.).

This is a full-time position and ideal locations would be Seattle, San Francisco, or Chicago. The Support Specialist reports directly to QRM leadership, with direction and feedback provided by the QRM Network.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Monitor the Risk Review Application (DAP) and shared market offering e-mail mailboxes
  • Conduct Intake process:
    • Review submissions to confirm that all required information is available
    • Initial review, sort and reroute submissions to appropriate QRM or Deputy QRM
    • Communicate directly with Engagement Leaders and teams as necessary
    • Perform validation of components of lower-risk submissions where judgment is required to determine the sufficiency and accuracy of the submission. When the submission expectations are not met, individuals in this role will independently determine whether the submission requires revision by the engagement team for further processing or if the submission can proceed
  • Coach engagement teams on required actions to complete quality processes related to engagement acceptance and engagement closeout
  • Provide training, guidance, or technical advice to engagement teams or others in responding to QRM or Risk Review Application (DAP) related inquiries
  • Collect, track, and compile the Risk Review Application (DAP) acceptance information or quality metrics based on the Risk Review Application (DAP) or other available data sources for statistics related to Operations
  • Contribute to the Risk Review Application (DAP) training initiatives through content creation or delivering presentation materials
  • Support strategic initiatives aligned with Risk and Financial Advisory and QRM, which may include assisting with execution of projects as needed

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years related work experience.
  • Professional demeanor. Organized, detail-oriented, competent follow through skills to ensure that issues are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Excels in both independent work and collaborative team environments.
  • Takes initiative and ownership; assertive and confident in executing on assigned projects.
  • Uses available resources to complete tasks and goals, schedule calls and seek feedback for agenda items.
  • Contributes to team discussions regarding related topics and offer personal experiences.
  • Exercises good judgment/decision making when necessary, with the ability to also anticipate problems and act accordingly.
  • Prioritizes and manages time accordingly.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products; Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Excellent proofreading, formatting, grammar, spelling and general math skills.
  • Bachelor Degree preferred.
