Victorias Secret, Pink Nation, Bath & Body Works are the flagship brands of L Brands Inc. We offer both in-store experience and eCommerce experience to our customers. The eCommerce experience is available on both desktop and mobile applications.

The eCommerce platform is built on microservices architecture & cloud native principles. Traffic scales from few hundreds to tens of thousands requests during the peak season. Given the global presence of our customers, ensuring maximum up time is crucial.

In order to meet the increasing demand, all services & applications must ensure resiliency and reliability.

While developers focus on implementing business features, you bring wealth of infrastructure & application expertise to offload the boilerplate & ensure features are available to all our customers, 24X7.

Job Responsibilities

• Ensure the Victoria Secret, PINK and Bath & Body Works eCommerce application infrastructure is resilient, reliable and scalable.
• Bridge & collaborate with leadership, architects, operations, developers & test engineers to ensure the high availability of our eCommerce platform to customers.
• Understand the existing application infrastructure, deployment landscape.
• Provide inputs/suggestion to the leadership on upgrading the application services, cloud infrastructure by comparison of technical & cost advantages.
• When necessary, code to automate the application infrastructure lifecycle management, monitor & maintain.
• Agile and flexible to changes.

Qualification

• 8 to 12 years experience
• Deploy, Debug, monitor & scale the applications such as Web server, API gateway, Service Discovery, Messaging, Logging & Monitoring. Some examples are Nginx, Elastic Search, Consul, Zuul, Cequence, Grafana, Kibana, Kafka
• Monitor the traffic to eCommerce platform, ensure the resiliency and throughput
• Create and publish summary & details dashboards on the state of the application infrastructure
• Interest to explore & learn new applications for log management, messaging, bot mitigation, API management, Instrumentation etc.
• Knowledge of Microservices, 12 factor application and cloud nativity
• Knowledge of Git, Jenkins, JIRA, Postman
• Familiarity with REST, HTTP protocol, error codes, trace the flow of HTTP request.
• Comfortable with popular scripting languages (Shell/Python etc)
• Curious to experiment, learn and automate the tasks.
• Expert collaborator with global teams and cross functions.
• Ability to understand the functional requirements, derive the application infrastructure (non-functional) requirements from it.
• Flexible to work in overlapping hours necessary to meet & exceed the eCommerce platform SLAs

Nice to have

• Programming experience in Java/Go lang
• Worked in Agile Scrum teams.
• Participation/Contribution to the infrastructure budget planning
• Experience developing microservices
• Experience with to manage databases such as MySQL, CouchDB, Mongo
