Your Role and Responsibilities This role is located in the IBM offices in New York City. There is no remote work option (post covid).

As an Iteration Manager, you will be integral to the invention and innovation process.
You will be a servant-leader supporting development teams that are creating exciting solutions that change the way both IBMers and IBM clients work. You'll work in a collaborative, welcoming environment where new ideas drive technological transformation through Agile ways of working. We work in small, cross-functional teams with big goals, so you will need to be adaptive, adept at clear communication and a natural leader. We strive to produce scalable solutions, so you will need to understand technical concepts and know how to drive repeatable, detail-oriented processes within a team.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise - Experience coaching teams in effective use of Scrum events: Daily Scrum, Backlog Review, Sprint Planning, Sprint Demo and Retrospective
- Ability to resolve conflict with a continual focus on the Scrum values of openness, honesty, commitment, courage, and respect
- Adept at identifying and removing impediments slowing the Development team down, as well as shielding the team from external interruptions and distractions
- Experience assessing squad Agile maturity and coaching teams toward constant self-evaluation and improvement at a sustainable pace
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills - you will need to work with Product Owners and stakeholders to help manage backlog and plan deliverables that add business value
- Experience working with modern project planning and collaboration tools
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Exposure to development of cloud-based enterprise systems with a significant number of users
- Experience and knowledge of user facilitation techniques
- Experience leading Design thinking methods to understand personas and develop great user design
- Higher level of agile project management certification a plus Above all, we value curiosity, teamwork, and a desire to learn.
