Who You'll Work With

You will be based in our Waltham, MA office as part of the Global Geospatial Analytics team in our client capability hub.You will work with Geospatial Analytics team members in other locations in Costa Rica, India, Germany, Poland and China on both team administration and on geospatial analytics as part of knowledge development and client service. You will interact with our global analytics community, partner with generalist consultants, clients and other colleagues to deliver high quality analyses and client service experience.

What You'll Do

You will work in a fast-paced team environment combining business thinking and spatial intelligence to solve a variety of business problems across a variety of industries and geographies. In this role, your work will be project-oriented. You will work closely with the geospatial experts to devise and execute spatial analyses using a variety of open sourced and licensed GIS software, datasets, and proprietary assets. You will communicate insights to consultants and clients using a variety of forms including written communication as well as static and interactive charting and data visualization. You will work primarily on-site work or remotely, with infrequent travel for training or on-site client work. You will work with Geospatial Analytics team members, other members of the global analytics community and management on a variety of team administration functions. You will manage the pipeline of communication with consultants and other firm members seeking geospatial analytics expertise, coordinate team capacity, and manage Geospatial Analytics team assets. You will also help develop new knowledge and service offerings using geospatial analytics, datasets, and information.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in geography, computer science, statistics, engineering, planning, GIS or a related field; advanced degree preferred
  • Demonstrated experience in at least one GIS software (e.g. ESRI ArcGIS, Quantum GIS, MapInfo, etc.) or ETL tool (Alteryx) to combine and analyze vector and raster data
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI, Tibco Spotfire) to provide insight
  • Ability to work with relational databases such as SQL, PostGIS, Postgres is a plus
  • Experience with GIS-based programming environments (e.g. Python, R) is a plus
  • Track record of creative problem-solving, information gathering, and process management; ability to thrive in a flexible and collaborative team environment
  • Effective communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to facilitate discussions
