What is the opportunity?

In this role, you will provide technical leadership for a large transformational initiative which changes and optimizes the delivery of solutions across the Enterprise via DevOps with a Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Delivery (CD) focused combination of agile/ traditional/ hybrid methodology across RBC. Key elements of the role include:

  • Providing DevOps leadership for SA&I initiatives; designing strategic and tactical technical solutions for CI/CD automation, testing frameworks, and Cloud deployments.
  • Working closely with project teams to ensure that CI/CD is managed appropriately for the success of the project, as well as for the long-term success of the organization.
  • Identifying and solutioning technical best practices in terms of tools, processes, and work plans within a specific application vertical.

What will you do?

  • Drive DevOps leadership; build new and enhance existing development pipelines – both for frontend applications and backend Infrastructure deployments (such as on-premises and Azure Cloud).
  • Design, diagram, and implement proposed solutions – this will include working directly with project teams on their DevOps requirements, defining best practices, and building out proposed solutions.
  • Provision access, configure, and troubleshoot components across the pipelines and CI/CD tooling.
  • Support Infrastructure, Development, and QA teams.
  • Coach junior team members on developing skillsets.

What do you need to succeed?

Must have:

  • Experience with Git
  • Azure/AWS Experience
  • Languages: Linux CLI, PowerShell, Terraform, ARM templates
  • Git, Nexus, Grade Scans, Vault, Artifactory, SonarQube
  • Experience automating applications onto Cloud platforms

Nice to have:

  • Azure CLI, Checkmarx, Urban Code Deploy,
  • Key Management knowledge
  • OpenShift and Pivotal Cloud Foundry
