Your Role and Responsibilities
As an accounting analyst at IBM you'll be a key player in all aspects of strategic payments planning. You will make significant contributions to high-profile operational initiatives as the business continues to grow globally. Your Role and Responsibilities : Your role will be to review specific types of contracts for proper revenue recognition and ensure that necessary accounting adjustments are recorded in accordance with respective accounting instructions.
Act as trusted business advisor in area of contract review and revenue recognition to determine appropriate accounting treatment
Actively work with upstream organizations (Customer Fulfillment, Finance, Opportunity owner)
Actively cooperate with US Headquarters Accounting teams
Understand implications of Corporate Accounting Practices, Instructions, and Manuals and provide comments and suggestions for updates, cooperate with guidance owners
Bring up ideas for process enhancements to SME, follow harmonization initiatives

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Required Professional and Technical Expertise : - University education (Bachelor’s degree) – preferably in Economics or relevant working experience
- Intermediate level of English
- Proficiency in MS Office, MS Excel (knowledge of Pivot tables/VLOOKUP is an advantage)
- Organizational skills and attention to details
- Good communication skills and customer oriented
- Team player -
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
- Revenue recognition knowledge (IFRS 15 or ASC 606 under US GAAP)
