Job Description
Are you a data analyst who likes to make sense of things? How about joining us as Data Analyst for Customer Insights and Experience then? In this role, you will be key to help us understand how our customer ticks. You will look at existing reports of our product and brand teams, analyse our Voice of Customer data and merge them to get a holistic understanding. At DAZN, real time data and insights is key to success. With your skills using data packages, building & automating reports, you will provide accurate and insightful reporting and analysis to maximise the understanding of customer behaviour and provide insightful recommendations on how the business can improve the Customer Experience and achieve our ambitious targets. In a nutshell - as our Data Analyst in this newly created role working within the Customer Insight & Experience team at DAZN - you will be bring an understanding of both behavioural and customer perception data to the business and be the point person to successfully combine these data sources within our warehouse and share this insight to business stakeholders across Product, Marketing, Research, UX, VoC and Customer Insight teams. Our target is to change sports media forever, by putting the consumer first, providing more sport, no long-term contracts and a single, low monthly fee. Big data isn’t a plan for us, it’s the reality – so all our data sets are stored in Dataiku, our cloud-based platform. We also use modern programming languages such as Python and create straight forward visuals using Tableau. You will be the ‘go to’ data person in the customer insight team for questions around customer behaviour, insight and experience.
HERE’S A BREAKDOWN OF WHAT YOU’LL DO (NOT ALL OF IT, JUST THE MOST IMPORTANT STUFF)
- Investigate, interpret and understand complex data, translating it into value driven insight
- Pro-actively provide insights and recommendations based on your data analysis and modelling
- Work with other members of the Customer Insight team to define and launch new data sets and reporting capabilities
- Combine external research data with internal customer behavioural data to provide a holistic view of customer insight
- Ensure Customer Perception data, collected via research tooling, is appropriately ingested, stored and actioned within our Data Warehouse
- Work with our Beta Community Coordinators to understand direct customer feedback – automating data collection and creating relevant dashboards
- Work with internal and external partners to ensure all relevant data is accurate, up to date and accessible
DO YOU HAVE THESE ESSENTIALS?
- Proven expertise generating insight from large and complex digital data sets
- Basic Data Science experience – e.g. building regression models using R or Python
- Experience in an insights-focused role, implementing reporting framework and provisioning analysis from digital analytics tools
- Advanced user of analytical tools and languages including Tableau, SQL, Dataiku, Snowflake, Google Big Query and Google Analytics
- Experience designing analytics data model(s) across web and mobile app and providing implementation requirements to Product and development teams
- Experience performing QA on data layer and analytics implementations in order to identify data quality issues
- You need to have a solution-based & active mindset, with ability to translate business problems into clear & concise reports that can be actively consumed
- Ability to converse with stakeholders across departments and teams, navigating both technical and non-technical elements, and ability to effectively compile and present insights to varied audiences
NOT ESSENTIAL BUT GREAT IF YOU ALSO HAVE
- Strong knowledge of MS Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel for reporting, sharing documents & building presentations on an ad-hoc basis.
- Knowledge of VoC and/or NLP tooling
- Learn and Grow; On-going drive for learning and ability to apply new knowledge and skills
