You will work on innovative projects to transform data into actionable insights that drive toward our vision of a single global technology platform that supports efficient and effective delivery of high value features our business users need.

Our main priority continues to be the health and safety of our employees. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this position will be remote until further notice. We will continue monitoring the circumstances and when we feel comfortable, this position will return to the office in San Jose, CA where you will have an opportunity to collaborate face-to-face with a talented and diverse group of peers.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate on required analytics projects
• Partner with data owners and subject matter experts to develop new ways of getting insights out of data that allow us to improve supply chain logistics
• Understand root causes of changes in metrics
• Develop algorithms that go from prototype to production quickly
• Utilize data mining, model building, and other analytical techniques to develop and maintain predictive models
• Access data and deploy models primarily in Python or R primarily, and various technologies including Hadoop, Spark, Hive, MySQL, and Docker

Required Qualifications:

• Understanding of statistical, predictive, and descriptive modeling concepts, machine-learning approaches, clustering and classification techniques, and recommendation and optimization algorithms
• Experience with empirical research, asking and answering questions in large datasets, and finding patterns and insights within structured and unstructured data
• Experience with a web-based visualization tools such as Shiny, D3 or Plotly
• Experience designing and evaluating the results of complex controlled experiments
• Experience programming in technologies and languages, such as C++, Java, R, Python, and/or Scala
• Experience with data sources, such as MongoDB, Redis, Elastic, Hadoop
• Knowledge of geospatial, creation of machine learning algorithms and relational databases and multi-dimensional concepts with ability to perform complex queries in a SQL environment
• Actively pursuing a master’s degree in one of the following areas: operations research, applied statistics, data mining, machine learning, physics, industrial engineering or related quantitative discipline
